Two other things to note: WWE got in trouble with the Saudis for a promo for Backlash at the Greatest Royal Rumble because the women were in their ring gear and after Khashoggi's death there was no mention of where Crown Jewel was being held.

Very well done video. I still tend to believe that main event was a fever dream and actually never happened. In my mind Shawn Michaels still retired at Wrestlemania 26. And I believe it's for the better we all do and not remember that car crash as his last match he had.

I refuse to ever acknowledge that BOD vs DX match, it just never happened. Still think it was disrespectful for Shawn to come out of retirement, but we all know how convincing Vinnie Mac can be, so I have no doubt that had something to do with it. I still think WWE has no business in Saudi Arabia, especially since it’s supposedly in it’s “women’s revolution” era. How can you pretend to be for women in sports, then go to a country that won’t even let them participate, or even attend that show without another male? Blood money is what it is.

As someone from a country ( Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 population 1.9M😂) that’s too small to likely ever have a live WWE event, I always look at the shows in Saudi Arabia with a bit of sympathy or rather empathy for the crowd, not the ruling family not the WWE who are getting paid handsomely to be there but the people who get to experience some thing that I will likely never get to experience when I think of it like that it’s hard for me to be angry at WWE for taking part in this farcical deal with KSA. Look at how happy WWE being in the UK made a lot of the UK fan base how are we if we’re being fair supposed to deny the citizens of Saudi Arabia that same experience because of things that are beyond their control? It’s a tricky thing and I don’t argue with anyone that chooses not to watch/support it, I understand why but personally I choose to watch, although 😅I do wish I hadn’t seen HBK do ... well yeah THAT match also wish I never saw ANY Goldberg match 😅😢😂🤷🏾‍♀️

That's the one thing that makes me not feel like a complete scumbag for watching some of them. You can tell those crowds are absolutely giddy to be there, and for those people i imagine it means a lot that WWE came to them. Unfortunately, WWE isn't thinking about them and is only thinking about the money, but the result is the same. When did these start? 2018? We are just halfway through that deal, but I don't see these going away that soon unless something catastrophic happens. Well. I guess something catastrophic did happen in COVID so I wonder if that deal has been extended anyway.

I remember watching this show. And afterwards, I wish I didn't. Shawn Michaels had no business coming out of retirement for that one-time only match, no matter how much money he was being offered. The Universal Championship match was a waste of time. It was short and terrible, Awhich was a typical Brock Lesnar match before he became Cowboy Brock. The World Cup tournament should've been renamed the All-American tournament since it consisted entirely of American-born wrestlers, even though Rey Mysterio, being Mexican-American, was probably the closest to representing Mexico. And in the end, the tournament was won by Shane McMahon of all people. That match and the overall show was a slap in the face.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose face off in the finals of the Best In The World Tournament with Ambrose defeating Rollins in the finals of the tournament causing some dissolution between the two. Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura have a rematch at Crown Jewel for the WWE Title with Daniel and Shinsuke have an absolute New Japan style classic with Bryan retaining. Bobby Lashley defends the WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar in an absolute dream match with Lashley defeating Lesnar to retain his Universal Title at Crown Jewel.
