The fate of TNA is just another indication that we're living in the shittest of timelines. In other, better realities, TNA gets that 2 hour timeslot in the late 00s and uses it to continue to push their "X Division" guys and they rise to become a legit competitor to WWE (instead of course they used it to become the sequel to WCW). We know all those guys can handle high spots on the card for a major promotion because so many went on to do so in WWE.

the only way to end the show on a high note would have been to send out the #1 contender to cash in right away for a title match. They couldn't do so because they booked the Double DQ. So you’re not gonna say “go grab so and so and tell them they gotta wrestle sting for 20 min” then also come up with a reason that match would make sense. While Jeff Hardy’s demons are well known for getting him into trouble as addictions are very serious I feel TNA is also to blame for this. They had time to workout an angle where he would be taken out of the match. Yet they didn’t. Why was that?
