WWE top dog babyface booking has literally always been trash for at least as long as I've been alive. I think Bret Hart is the only certified top guy in the Wrestlemania era who didn't have a true power up sequence/limit break/Hulk up or just stopped selling when it was time to win (and his five moves of doom still *almost* managed to function as a hybrid of the two styles). Even borderline top guys like Sheamus had that trait as part of their face world title reigns. So yeah, it really is much more of a booking problem than anything else.

The thing I found funny was how a one Bryan Alvarez couldn't wrap his head around why they were doing wrestling moves when you had to remove your opponent's eye out. As people pointed out to him, you have to incapacitate your opponent so you can remove the eye with no interruptions. As someone pointed out in a video, it's like a ladder match. My highlight of the night of _The Horror Show at_ EWWxtreme _Rules:_ *Shotzi Blackheart* doing the running man during New Day's entrance and headbanging to Drew McIntyre's music when she was a stunt granny in the crowd. Neither the plexiglass nor facemask could hide her *green hair.* lol

Love her or hate her but Sasha usually delivers in big matches (the 2016 HiaC is an exception). It wasn't easy to follow the eye for an eye match but Asuka vs Sasha is never going to be a bad match.

Your Roman and Drew comparison is mostly valid, only issue is that Roman was OP while being boring. Drew is charismatic and intense, and has a more exciting moveset. We can forgive a little OP'ness for that.
@Robyamdam4 жыл бұрын
the difference between drews matches and romans matches is that Drew is over with the fans so the beatdown, beatdown, beatdown finisher technique works.

To be honest I never liked that formula, no matter how over the one doing it is. It's something they have been doing for ages now and not only it doesn't raise the tension of the match in any way it does the exact opposite, it makes it completely predictable. They have been doing this since forever but I more distinctly remember it with John Cena where he would get beat for an entire match by his opponent only to win with an FU or an STFU.
@TheBuddha3374 жыл бұрын
WWE does this with every champion that they turn face. And the fans do the same thing every time. Cena, Roman, Seth, Drew, ect. The babyfaces get the fuck beat out of them for 95% of the match, then win. It's their formula. People will turn on Drew in a matter of time. History repeats itself.

Here are two fun facts about the show: Shinsuke Nakamura was won a Championship at every Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View he's been at (and is 3-0 at the event for good measure). And the Baun Strowman we see watching the show is one of Bray Wyatt's illusions.

So in the Drew vs Dolph match, Drew didnt put Dolph through a table because of the fear of getting DQ'd, but in many singles matches in WWEs history, people get put through announce tables all of the time. WTF what is this logic
@kc_oner4 жыл бұрын
Well, Drew did purposely attempt to put Dolph through the announce table so we can rule that out.

+Josh Peters Well, there was that 1 time in 2013 where Ryback was disqualified for putting Daniel Bryan through a table.
@briancrocker33774 жыл бұрын
There is no logic. It's just the way it is. Ringposts, the announce tables are all fair game. The chairs the announcers sit on, the ring bell, those are out of bounds. They are, at least, consistant with these "rules". I can't remember anyone getting DQed from putting someone through an announcer table

I think the difference between Roman and Drew, is the WWE isn’t shoving Drew down our throats and forcing us to embrace him
@kurtpaulsen65794 жыл бұрын
Zane, the differences between One Night Stand and Sasha/Asuka are: 1. RVD/Cena was a no DQ match and 2. Unlike Bayley, Heyman was an actual authority figure and therefore had some reason to take over for an incapacitated ref.
@danielhess10824 жыл бұрын
i understand the story they were telling with Dolph and Drew, however, sending an opponent through a table, to my knowledge, isn't cause for a DQ. hitting someone with the table on the other hand does
