WWE No Mercy Remastered (Unreal Engine Prototype)

This WWF No Mercy / WWE No Mercy Remastered Prototype is part of a learning project I created in Unreal Engine that gives a glimpse of how the game could look if it were to get remastered.
To try and keep the style of the original I decided to recreate the original menu overlays in high definition rather than modernising the menu, as I felt the modern overlay I planned to use took away a lot of the nostalgia.
Please note that this is not an active project and was purely for learning purposes.
A lot of the models and the arenas were created by members of the WWE 2K modding community and are available for use in WWE 2K19 at 2KModz.com and the Smacktalks.org forums.

Def Jam Fight for NY has the Aki engine and its incredible. Animation to Artistic backgrounds and mechanics are second to none. Its what No Mercy 3 should have looked like!

I think what makes the AKI games so great is the character models themselves. They look like blocky, floaty body parts but imo that's what I like most.

Many will disagree with me on this. But i have found Legends of Wrestlemania for the PS3 too have a very decent learning curve for beginners. Even though the move set is limited compared to No Mercy which i absolutely loved and couldn't put down. I've always said if they could take say these graphics in this video and stick it with the same control scheme the original No Mercy had. This would be a HUGE seller no doubt about it. It would put the 2K franchise out of business for damn sure. And honestly i think that's why it hasn't been done. Because as everyone knows there are PLENTY of "concept designs" right here on KZbin on what that game could look and play like. However, i think it's a contractual issue with WWE and 2K why something like this hasn't happened yet. Because it's fairly easy too pull off. Your keeping the same control/move set engine. And just re-doing the graphics.

It would also be a warning that Chris Benoit would have to be removed if WWF No Mercy or any game with him on the roster (such as WWE WrestleMania XIX) gets rereleased somehow. Since Nintendo 64 games are usually unchanged when they come out on the Nintendo Switch Online Virtual Console, Chris Benoit surely prevents WWF No Mercy 64 from making it onto Nintendo Switch Online even before factoring in the contract headaches and even after sorting out the contractual nightmares.
