Without a single doubt. I knew people who hated pro wrestling but they knew exactly who The Rock and Stone Cold were. I grew upduring the Golden era but when WCW came with the NWO angle then out of that WWE came back with an edgier product thanks to that and ECW. Pro wrestling went through the roof. The late 90's early 2000's were amazing for fans.

The Rock was the last eliminated in Royal Rumble 98, Austin and Rock had one match the week before Wrestlemania 14 just the little things shows how much their careers paralleled to each other they really believed a lot in the Rock even when the people didn't see it. It was a blessing to grow up in the Attitude Era. Other than Pokemon, it was the biggest thing in pop culture. Every time you went out in public, you would see every young boy to young adult men wearing WWF/WCW shirts. It was all that was ever talked about in school and all the countless suspensions kids got for doing the "Suck It" crotch chop. Also the backyard wrestling we all did with friends. Oh man what a time to be alive!
