Unpopular Opinion - ausitn vs rock is the bigger box office feud but hhh was really rocks greatest rival. There’s so much depth to their feud, from their 1st match in 96, to their dx vs nation feud, the ladder match / 2 out of 3 falls in 98, hhh debut his sledgehammer against the rock, their entire 00 feud. Just many layers, so many moments and so many great matches. And the crazy apart about that is the rock might not even be hhh’s greatest rival because you can argue hbk. Just shows how great hhh was when it came to feuding, having great stories, matches and moments

Vince wasn’t going to have Rock and Triple H work together anymore because there was tension between them, and he was tired of hearing them both complain about the other. Triple H however begged Vince not to pull the plug because despite them not getting along much, they still generated money. Vince being greedy of course agreed afterwards. Also…there’s been instances when guys and girls in wrestling have demanded not to work with someone due to not liking the other, and at times they’ve even been able to use their pull to alter someone’s push. Stone Cold Steve Austin as another example, walked out because he didn’t want to lose to Brock. There’s a choice in everything you do, and in this instance Rock and Triple H made the right one by putting their differences aside for the good of the attitude era.
