I was so giddy about the finish of the Asuka & Becky match. It was such a strange variant on the Cattle Mutilation & Asuka Lock. She should use it more. That submission was phenomenal! Felt the women’s rumble, despite the predictability of the finish was much stronger than the men’s (which was a lot more predictable). Balor & Lesnar was pretty darn solid too. I thought Xia Li, Rhea Ripley, and Lacey Evans did amazingly. Kacey was beyond fantastic in her time in as well. And I was so shocked Shane actually hit the SSP.

Kacey was easily among the highlights of the Women's Rumble as were the rest of the NXT ladies. I hope though that Kacey in particular will get continue to get better and draw the eye of upper management...she could be amazing as a future NXT, Raw or SD Women's Champion.

If they are really going with Ronda-Becky-Charlotte at Mania, I would love to see Asuka defend her title at Mania against a raw superstar. It's a pretty easy story to tell, you just have some women of Raw complain that Ronda defends her Raw Womens Championship against 2 members of Smackdown and none of them get a chance to challenge Ronda even though they are part of Monday Night Raw. Therefore, they want a shot at Asuka's title. You then have a Fatal 5 Way between Ruby, Sasha, Bayley, Ember and Natalya to determine the Number 1 Contender for the Smackdown Womens Championship at Mania. Ember wins and BOOM we have Ember-Asuka at Mania.
@rriggs6547
@rriggs6547 5 жыл бұрын
I guess, but right now, the only one of those you mentioned even close to Asuka's level is Banks. I am not saying they can't be built up, but as it stands now, the only outcome I can see is a 4 minute squash.

I am giving a thumbs up before even watching the review but after having watched the ad. Dude, that is how you handle a sponsorship. You put your all in to it. Not that there is anything wrong with just reading a script and saying you like the product, it is just boring and bland. You know, everything you DO NOT want in an advertisement.

For better or worse, I didn't enjoy it because I saw it as Nia being positioned as though she were on the same level as someone like Chyna even though she is distinctly bad at wrestling. I saw her entering the rumble as her being rewarded for getting heat for her hurting the people she's in the ring with, much like how I didn't care for her winning at survivor series. So I'm cool with inter gender matches, I just didn't like Nia getting this rub

@@steveo7165 what has "no disqualification" got to do with it? Can a fan run in and eliminate someone? What about a commentator? No. Its lazy writing, infact there has been a precedent set in the past that this cannot be done, likewise with someone who is not an official entrant eliminating someone. Becky got the ok from "that authority figure Fit Finley" (yeah right) so i can just about let that go. But Nia Jax? That lighty up Ali guy is officially still active at the time of writing, as is the girl with the lighty up shoes...

How do you folks feel about Becky being booked to tap clean and not just lose by DQ or have Asuka win in a dirty way? Think that would’ve helped her story come the rumble match a little more.
@Punisher3-16
@Punisher3-16 5 жыл бұрын
Asuka cheating would make her look bad since she also won the championship due to outside interferance. I would've booked Becky ankle's injury since their match, have Asuka actually work the injured leg, therefore making that an important aspect of her Rumble participation instead of booking the injury during the rumble itself.
