Jesse was the first heel commentator I remember. Born in 81 and watched wrestling on Saturdays after cartoons. So awesome to see him smack talking Cody

Loved SNME, it definitely reminded me of the original shows. I was in my teens for the 1st WM, so SNME was a staple for me when it was originally on. So back in that time, WWE really only aired on syndicated TV and the local cable stations (Prime Time Wrestling with Gorilla and The Brain) or on the Madison Square Garden network. Titles rarely changed hands on TV and most of them only at the MSG shows and then WM. SNME was a great place for folks to see guys like Andre, Hogan, etc who were rarely on the weekly syndicated shows. This was a total treat to me in seeing this show revived!!!!

It might have been predictable but I prefer logical storytelling to unnecessary swerves for the sake of it.

I was hoping Jesse would call Michael Cole "Monsoon" and McAfee "Mean Gene"- it would have been perfect. The show was ok. It's what Main Event always was, a glorified house show. But that's ok. It's something to bridge the gap between Survivor Series and Royal Rumble, plus the Netflix move. The matches were shorter, but I thought Iyo vs Liv was actually exciting. Liv has really grown into the Championship, and Iyo Sky is just amazing, always. Putting the new US Title on Chelsea is perfect, and giving Michin a spotlight was a nice choice. The Gunther triple threat match was good because it forwards the Finn-Priest feud and let's Gunther move on to a new feud heading into the run-up to WM41. I would have loved for this show to be at MSG, which would have solved the entry walk issue because of the way they set up the seats at MSG. I think the next one in San Antonio will be fun, hopefully you get a nice HBK appearance in his hometown.

I realize that I've been watching wrestling since I was six I remember the original Saturday Night Main Event. If you've been watching wrestling for any significant amount of time and can't predict things you're lost. A lot of stuff is predictable just like I will tell you right now the rock is going to screw over Roman Reigns at the raw Netflix Premiere now that might not be shocking to a lot of us but it's predictable. That doesn't mean you still can't enjoy it. Furthermore not everything is predictable for example I have no idea where this Drew McIntyre stuff is going. And that's okay I love that I didn't watch wrestling for 7 years because I was burnt out on it. And I am so glad that I did my gut tells me they're going to turn Seth Rollins heel but I don't know that for 100% sure. Basically long story short people like to piss and moan not everybody's going to be happy and we can't please everyone I didn't think Saturday night main event was fantastic but it wasn't a horrible either. Not every Big Show needs a big return is that what's be the case it would be watered down and we wouldn't enjoy it as much.

Talking about fans grabbing wrestlers. I remember when Roman reigns was still in the shield he came out from the audience and he stood for a couple of seconds and look around. A woman turn around and rubbed his arm like 2 or three times. 😬

I would've enjoyed Main Event more if The Body had called all the matches with Michael Cole. McAfee pops for babyfaces too much for my taste.

8:29 One thing we can rest for sure is, no matter what or how does the men the stuff, there's always a moron that is NOT happy either when something is predictable as same as when is NOT, simply they don't know to enjoy the show or don't understand a shit about wrestling.

Hey Wheezy I can't wait because I'm going January 25 and I enjoyed the show. San Antonio's WWE crowd is rabid and one of the best in the states and Triple H knows that.
