Drew is #1 by a landslide for me - amazing promos, amazing matches, full commitment to his character online and in interviews, he was just so so so good. Made me belly laugh multiple times this year. Number 2 is Gunther. His promo has increased so much this year, and his matches are incredible (obviously) I love how you never know how a Gunther match will end. Number 3 is Chelsea Green, but if we dont count women on this one I would probably go with Sami. Hes just so loveable. 😂

Missed less than 2 months and started setting up future storylines with Cody and the bloodline by June. A wrestler is ineligible for wrestler of the year of they get injured for a month or two?

Danielson is amazing, but for me personally Shawn is still the best ever. I am surprised people do not talk more about the connections between them. Not only was Danielson trained by Shawn, but they both had a sort of temporary forced retirement due to injuries, then both of them came back from those injuries and had probably the best runs of their careers. And both of them are in another stratosphere from 99.99 percent of anyone who has ever done it.

I’d imagine the lack of connection was due to VKM not wanting it noted. It really could have been a great thing to push during D-Bry v. The Authority storyline.

Kevin Owen’s is great and deserves this, would have had MJF in here, because he is pure gold, but as Simon says this is opinion so it’s all allowed. No issue in no Roman, but Solo has really impressed as the year has progressed.

I would agree with having Hangman somewhere on this list, but I understand why MJF isn't. While he is arguably one of the best talkers and characters right now in all of wrestling, this year has not been his best. His work with Will Ospreay was hilarious, exciting and showed off the best in both performers, but unfortunately he's stuck in what might be the worst storyline I personally have seen for a while with Adam Cole.

Kevin Owens number 1 over people like Drew is a crazy take. You said your favorite wrestler which is fair, but the title is "Best Wrestlers of 2024". Kevin Owens has only been a S tier super interesting character since Bad Blood, so a little over 2months out of 12.

I think on the women’s side Liv Morgan had the best year, awesome to see. On the guys side Cody has had the best year but as far as growth it doesn’t even come close, that has to go to Jey Uso. Phenomenal year, his single reign got sidetracked by Bloddline business so I can’t wait to see where they take his character in 2025.

Cody is still the best pure babyface in a very long time. His title run may seem a little lackluster, but when it comes to a babyface, the title chase is almost always better than the title run.
