The thing I'm liking about this podcast is they explain the context behind the PPVs, which is helpful for me because I want to go through all the WEE PPVs, but don't want to watch ten thousand episodes of Raw/Smackdown to get the context for them. Also I like that OSW gives the real world context for what's going on as well, some thing I would not get from just watching the PPVs on there own.

I'm actually quite surprised that Ozzy Osbourne was even sober enough to make that appearance because he had a massive relapse at the end of the Bark At The Moon Tour and was either drunk or high almost all the time which made the 1986 tour for The Ultimate Sin a very difficult experience for all involved, he wouldn't get completely clean again until 1991 for what was supposed to be his retirement tour. He was recently shown some footage from a show he played in Philadelphia during the No Rest For The Wicked Tour in the summer of 1989 which was broadcast live on PPV and he flat out said that he didn't remember even playing the show because he was in his own words : "drunk off my ass"

What's the difference between World or Intercontinental anyways? It means the same damn thing...
@BronzeBullBalls7 жыл бұрын
I know the distinction in wrestling terms....What I mean is that there is literally no distinction in the English language between the word WORLD and Intercontinental. World means all over the globe and the same meaning can be garnered from the word intercontinental. I think that it makes more sense logically to call a secondary title something like North American championship, USA championship or whatever. Not to mention there is also a huge globe on the intercontinental belt... you see Europe and Africa on the belt in that globe as well.
@BronzeBullBalls7 жыл бұрын
Also, he is a heel... so he is going to exaggerate whatever prestige his title holds all the same. I wouldn't bat an eye if someone with the European or TV championship would claim to be holding the Universal world championship.... it's just a heel being a braggart.
@loudiaz12927 жыл бұрын
BronzeBullBalls intercontinental means inside the continent. There are 7 continent's in the world. So it's not the same thing. Do you understand now?

Fun Fact: The CFL's championship trophy (The Grey Cup) actually dates back to 1909 when it was awarded for the first time to the Toronto Varsity Blues, it's also named after Lord David Grey who donated it to the league when he was serving as governor general to canada. The league itself dates back to 1884 when it was formed as a successor league to the then defunct canadian rugby league, the league rules are actually based off of international rugby rules and the game is played on a 110 yard (goal line to goal line) field. This year will mark the 124th anniversary of the league (the 65th since it was reorganized into the current CFL in 1958) and the 109th awarding of the grey cup when the championship game concludes on November 19th at Mosaic Stadium in Regina Saskatchewan.

In this and the last review Neo has a lot of insightful points. He seems to bring a perspective, that is different from the other 3.

I think Piper sounds a lot like Emo Philips in his promo.

They had to call the Womens match early because Velvet tore the strap on her wrestling gear when she hit the mat on that cross body attempt.

So they ruined both the match AND the fanservice, Moolah was even eviler than I thought.

constructive criticism, i think you guys need to do a better job syncing the audio with the video. like when youre talking about a particular move that happened, show it. instead of some other part of the matchup. itd kill a lot of the confusion.
@OSW10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I think the majority of the video is fully sync'd usually within a second of us talking about it, the end is left to play out to avoid having a large chunk of blank screen after every match. We've done 35 episodes since this one so the editing has come a long way. What to (not) include has been carefully weighed up, over-editing is visually tiring. Also sometimes I can't find what was talked about or cutting to that isn't that important - sure it's a review, take our word for it! All the best, J

So was V1 invited to the show because OOC didn't watch and prepare for this episode? Would be quite serendipitous
@OSW Жыл бұрын
Ha ha! No it was always supposed to be a 4-man show but v1 couldn't make episode 1. (We had rescheduled it twice due to people not making it so it was in danger of never happening!)

i love these reviews. Question: why didn't you all choose to review the main event with the double Hebners?

Piper hated Mr. T in real life i think. Cuz on a talk show he gets angry and says Mr T is the only guy i know who wears more chains then his ancestors. So yeah i dont think he was acting
