Watching WM 40 and coming back to WM 23 poster, makes me who grew up with AE and RA era a bit sad (although WM 40 was quite good). Looking at the poster: Cena- hardly a part timer, definitely no longer the face of WWE Lashley- still a full timer, but past his prime, and no longer a main eventer at present Batista- fully retired HBK- fully retired Edge- no longer in WWE, and at the tail end of his career, although still a full time talent Benoit- Deceased Undertaker- fully retired Such good memories from this era. Look at the wwe championship, former wcw championship, and ECW championship, and imagine if each of those titles actually stood for each company itself, imagine if the wwe, wcw, and ECW would've found a way to actually coexist together, and john cena was the wwe champion, Batista was the wcw champion and lashley was the ACTUAL ecw (not wwecw) champion. It would've been amazing if that was something that actually could've happen. It kills me that wcw and ECW didn't survive, I hate that a lot of good talent got wasted and that two great companies were just threw away.

does anyone else agree the ruthless aggression era had the best mix of veteran talent, most of whom were still in their prime or just slightly past it and new blood who benefited from the veterans? I see it this way. In this current era, the dichotomy is too different. The veterans are too old and way past their prime to be of benefit in helping the younger talent. Just to put things in perspective, in 2002 and 2003 look at Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker. They had excellent chemisty and it wasn't a case of an old washed up taker vs a new hungry talent. At the end of their clashes Lesnar felt like a real monster and Taker was also elevated despite being on the losing end. Fast forward to 2019 look at Baron Corbin vs Angle. Angle could barely move let alone put on a barely decent match. At the end up of it, he lost in anticlimactic fashion and this did absolutely nothing for the career of Corbin.

This is so sad the headline all grown up I remember as a teen staying up late watching WM23 and raw and SD so late. It’s scary to think life goes so quick I was 13 when wm23 happened I’m now 28 enjoy the memories.
