Haku was never scared of road warriors, he may have had a healthy respect for hawk but animal was never a fighter, as he has said countless times himself, he looked the part and could manhandle you but hawk was the tough guy, even smash who went school with rick rude says he couldn’t say who was tougher out if hawk and rick… but the way those 2 would fight, and haku biting someone’s nose off or putting his finger into someone’s eye socket and behind their eyeball and threatening to eat their eyes, was a different kind of fighting. You’re talking about guys who would punch/kick/headbutt, going up against someone who if they needed to bite your artery and rip it out of your body so you bleed out, he would do it. I think if there were “street fighting rules”, then hawk/rude could hold their own with haku by the sounds of what everyone who knew them would say.

Aside from the public enemy fight, another thing I remember hearing a story about Ron Simmons was about him giving Ahmed Johnson a receipt during a match because they had wrestled a match prior to this one and in that match Johnson kicked Simmons in the stomach with so much force that Simmons liver ended up getting damaged. After that they would have another match and in that one Simmons would take revenge on Johnson by kicking him in the stomach which resulted in Johnson having his ribs broken.
