You are my the best my man! I could sit and talk with you for hours, not so much about war, some if you wanted to, but about everything else, you a cool dude. I spent 23 years in the military. 82ND Airborne 1/17 Air Cav...188TH ADA, and ended up in the Air National Guard, one stint in Iraq, nothing like you my friend! Thanks for the interview! You kind of remind me of Christopher Walkin...LOL

My father was with the 1st Division when it was formed in 1917. Ended WWI as a 21-yr-old Regular-Army Platoon Sergeant. Got commissioned in the 1920s in the National Guard. Brought back on Active Duty in 1940 and received a Regular Army commission as a Major, again in 1st Infantry Division. Ended in 1946 as a Colonel.. My eldest brother also served from 1940-46 in the Division.

at 21:15 my guess is that he's talking about the Slapton Sands incident. A few moments earlier he mentioned that he couldnt remember where in England he was stationed. Based on that, it's possible he was stationed somewhere around Plymouth?

Respectfully, the interviewer is below average. Does he realize who he’s interviewing? Young man, your questions and how your asking them are like questioning a child. Your questioning an incredible man….not a child. Please sir…..think before talk. Thank you

Realize that these gentlemen most often have hearing loss, and it helps them when people speak a little more loudly amd slowly. It's the same way with my older relatives in their 80s and 90s...

Rishi does an incredible job and this is a labor of love. Some of these veterans need to be led a little more than others. Please help him and donate to fund the cause. He does this strictly on his own money and donations. God bless him and God bless John.
