RIGGER POUCH - "AAF"
Many people don't know that the traditional "rigger pouches" were designed off of a pouch that was originally designed by the Army Air Force (AAF) and was featured in the 1943 equipment catalog. These pouches are indistinguishable from "traditional" rigger pouches from the front so identifying one in an original photograph is near impossible. The only thing that identifies an AAF pouch is the part number that was stenciled onto the back belt loop.
Our reproduction AAF pouches are made with our custom dyed OD3 canvas and is closed with a nickel life-the-dot fastener. The stencil on the back is made using an original AAF pouch.
RIGGER POUCH - SMALL
The small size riggers copied the design directly from the AAF pouch. The only difference between these and the AAF pouch is there is no part number stamped on the back and the lift-the-dot fastener is black rather than nickel. These reproduction rigger pouches are made with our custom dyed OD3 canvas.
RIGGER POUCH - MEDIUM - OD7
This model is a reproduction of the medium size which was the most common pouch. The medium size pouch can carry 2 MKII grenades or multiple M1 enblocs or carbine magazines These reproduction rigger pouches pouches are made with OD7 canvas and are fastened with genuine lift-the-dot-fasteners.
RIGGER POUCH - MEDIUM - 0D3
This model is a reproduction of the medium size which was the most common pouch. This size pouch can carry 2 MKII grenades or multiple M1 enblocs or carbine magazines These reproduction rigger pouches are made with our custom dyed OD3 canvas and are fastened with genuine lift-the-dot-fasteners.
RIGGER POUCH - GREASE GUN
Contrary to common belief there was no issued pouch that could hold an M3 Grease Gun magazine. The M3 Grease magazine bags and 3 cell pouches did not come out until very late in the war and you would be hard pressed to find a picture of one being used by for 1945. However, airborne riggers were known to make a few specially made pouches to carry these magazines. Two of these pouches are clearly seen in photos of General Eisenhower speaking to members of the 502nd before Normandy.
These reproduction rigger pouches are made with our custom dyed OD3 canvas and are fastened with genuine lift-the-dot-fasteners.
RIGGER POUCH - MEDIUM - 505th TIE FASTENER
This model is a reproduction of the medium size with the paracord tie fasteners used by the 505th PIR. The medium size pouch can carry 2 MKII grenades or multiple M1 enblocs or carbine magazines These reproduction rigger pouches pouches are made with our custom dyed OD3 canvas

The 505th para cord pouch from my experience in using it is a relatively decent(ish) design when compared to the lift dot designs, simply because, when using my lift dots for my MTO 505th kit id end up running around or crawling and the flap coming open and id loose all my enblocs during mid skirmish, happened more times than i care to mention (much like in history ofcourse). However seldom can be said when i used my para cord ones simply because, you can tie the knot in such a fashion that during the 'jump' phase its super tight and secures your ammo to withtstand the prop blast and once on the ground, you can slacken the knot but no completely undoo it so much so you can reach your hand in the sides of the flap and pull out an enbloc relatively easy and still have the flap tied over it to help prevent ammo falling out. I cant recall ever finding a solid reason / paper work explaining why they made tie up riggers for the 505th and part 507th, i was told the paper work was lost in the fort bragg fire in the 70's, but this was the only practical reason i can fathom why the riggers made the para cord design and once you can get it sorted its pretty intuitive.

I never buy carbine mags. I keep an eye on the ground and get them that way. At Wendle Ford last year I got four loaded mags with sixty rounds of Swanson blanks. Two empty mags. Thirty four M-1clips and one BAR mag and a MP40 mag.

Should’ve given ‘em back. Those who lost them would’ve known.

From what I heard for the 505, I don’t remember the source so don’t quote me 100 percent, but the 505 used the pouches to refill their pockets for ammo, they filled their M42 pockets with ammo and used the pouches to refil their pockets, I don’t know about this 100 percent and I don’t recall where I heard it from but that is what I have always believed I just wish I remembered the source so I could prove it

They mainly used their pockets and pouches and when they emptied their pockets they opened the pouches and put more ammo there is what I recall

Please fix your flag. The Union stars should be on the left if you’re hanging the flag vertically. Others than that great content, I’m a new subject!
