Thank you so much for these videos! I bought this pedal a couple of months ago and could not crack it, was getting very frustrated with it and was thinking of selling it. Your advice of just looking at it as a delay pedal completely opened it up for me! I have been having so much fun with it and cannot put it down! Finally being able to wrap my head around this and being able to get some amazing sounds out of it makes me so very happy. Thank you very much again :)

As a bass player I want one so badly!! It seems like a. Pedal you would just have to own and spend hrs with, I watched the demo on the Chase bill channel, he did a great job explaining it, though I was still confused probably because I wasn’t the one who played the riff and didn’t know where it started and ended and how it originally sounded, glad your enjoying it!

Your channel is literally a gift to effects guys, musicians, soundscapers, etc... You should have 10x the amount of subs.

The love that they put into these pedals is insane. But clearly that same love goes into these videos!

Thank you for that video I like the fact that you take time to explain the simple delay and modifier part, I just got the pedal this week and I needed this format. I now know that I understand all this parameters and more importantly that I have to continue explore those before going into the scan and spread / dip switches of death ;) Because I instantly get lost when I use those Leo

One of the more musical reviews of the Habit and not just bleepy bloopy noises.

do you mean guitar?

@@wanderingjuniper Yes, I’m referring to guitar demo videos. I admire the experimental approach and I’m open to ambient styles of some players, but I liked this videos musical use of the pedal.

Oh you've nailed it. For the first 2 weeks I thought it was purely an ambient workhorse....it's demoes like this that help understand the toolset for riffers of all styles

The dry kill with no repeats for warble lofi tone 🤯
@MrVictorjenkins2 жыл бұрын
You might have mentioned this…apologies if so. Can you use multiple modifiers at a time? e.g. lofi/reverse octave repeats w/ glitches To be clear. Without looping the pedal.
@hoover7282 жыл бұрын
No just one at a time.. Which is definitely a downgrade from blooper, which can have 2 modifiers at a time plus stability has its own dedicated knob whereas here it’s just a modifier.

Hello, I've also got a question about how to change the MIDI channel on my CBA pedals. I can't get it to work with Ableton. I know that I have to unplug and plug in again while holding both switches and then send Program Change. But I don't know how that works in Ableton... I have 4 CBA pedals and I would like them on different MIDI channels. But I can't figure it out.. I really hope you could help me out.

@BT-ry8po2 жыл бұрын
maybe a silly question, but how come the pedal didn't start playing back what you had already played after 3 minutes? is there a switch at the back that can bypass this function?

Just picked up just picked up the habit and the dark world. This was an excellent explainer video. Thanks! Quick question. Watched your shootout awhile back about the thermae / tonal recall. Does the habit scratch the thermae itch for you now?
@markjohnstonofficial2 жыл бұрын
Nope. Thermae remains my all time favorite delay at an “accept no substitutes” level. It’s phenomenal. Habit is great for a myriad of things but replacing Thermae is not one of them.

Love your demos! Signal chain question here: Noticed you are using the Canvas now in your last few videos, I use an ACS1. Wondering if you have a preference of Walrus Canvas or Pinstripe Diso +? Other than a few of the more obvious differences, are the signal results of each device fairly similar?
@markjohnstonofficial2 жыл бұрын
This is a “no wrong answers” kind of thing. I’ve had the canvas for a shorter period than the DISO. The canvas is smaller and has a more robust feature set if you need things like pad and DI options. But the DISO sounds phenomenal. The Jensen transformer is top notch and the build quality is bulletproof.

what do you think of the new benson plugin from mixwave? normally you would put things like preamp first, and then other effects. now you are going from habitat (so fx first) to the benson plugin chain, so thats a bit different. what do you think of that?
