This is a great in-depth review. I love the testing and data that was presented. Mine arrived today and I do want to correct something that was said in the video. The device WILL charge the internal battery as well as other devices connected to it as long as the total between them doesn’t surpass (I have no testing equipment so I can’t be sure, but I assume) 65W. I plugged in my phone which caps at 30W charging and saw the lights blinking on the Anker indicating that it’s charging. Then I connected my iPad mini to it as well, which must have pushed it over the edge and the light stopped blinking to indicate that the Anker was no longer charging. I think this is important to clear up because many people -myself included- expect this to charge itself while charging other devices. I was very glad to see that it will do that but only as long as the other connected devices don’t draw too much power.

I just purchased Anker 733 for travel use. I think it is advantageous for travel purposes due to its hybrid/2-in-1 features. Instead of bringing several adapters( & powerbanks) for your devices such as smartphone/s, earbuds, etc., you can bring one 733 to cover both the adapter & powerbank.functions. It is compact and very convenient to stash in your personal item.

In my opinion, this powerbank should have had the option to limit the power output so that you can charge the internal battery and conencted devices at once. Explanation: This powerbank has a 65W charger, and it charges the battery at 20W. This powerbank also has a trickle charge mode which activates by double-tapping the power button. By doing that same gesture when the powerbank is plugged into the wall, it should reduce the power output to the USB ports to 45W, and reserve the 20W for charging the battery.

I got this to keep with me for EDC in my fanny pack because my 737 is a little too big. I charge my vape, headphones, and phone (lower wattage devices) daily while I'm on the go. I keep my big 737 power bank in my backpack with my laptop so I can get in a full day of work while completely mobile, if needed. The 733 is super handy for an EDC role because it can take charge in multiple ways. It would have been so nice to be able to charge itself and output 65w at the same time, but it's such a small device, we can't expect miracles from it... and I don't wanna die in a fire.

If it charges your stuff while it is charging itself all at the same time, the internal battery of the Anker Powerbank will put to extreme stress and it will probably not last as long.

Must add that the macbook test is the same as another hybrid product that anker has (where the book is prioritized on the charging) , but in my case with 733 it seems better going with 45W macbooks (i dont have any with type C to test if the behaviour is the exact same, this is just speculation based on the images) but what i see is that when you use the prongs to recharge the internal battery + plug 2 phones or 3 even, you get the charge for both phones and battery.

All new power banks sold by Anker that can be plugged into an outlet are now pass-through, charging themselves and devices at the same time, even the cheaper ones. So much can change in just 1 year since this comment was posted...

Sir, I would like to know how long it takes for the Anker Powercore 733 to reach fully charge from 0 to 100%. How many times can you fully charge your laptop using the fully charged Anker Powercore 733? Your review was very informative, using your digital watt meter. I like your idea of comparing the compact design of the Anker Powercore 733 versus using a separate 65W charger and 10,000mA power bank. In your video, it is indeed very easy to carry the compact design of the Anker Powercore 733, but it cannot simultaneously charge its own battery and any device you plug in, it undergoes bypass charging in simple terms. Unlike with a separate charger that can charge the power bank and other devices at the same time, it can multitask in other words. You can use the battery while you carry it and still use the charger to charge other devices while it is plugged into an outlet. That cannot be done due to the compact design of the Anker Powercore 733, well that's a very good point Sir.

I think this product is primarily an AC Adapter first, and battery backup second. You could make it your home Type-C charging hub and use it to charge all of your Type-C devices and if you end up needing a decent battery bank, it is there for you in a pinch. Or possibly, if you can run and charge your Laptop off of this, it could replace your laptop charger and, when necessary, it could act as a battery bank for type-c devices. It is not going to be a portable battery power station that can charge three devices and itself and then charge a large number of devices off an internal battery as well. I think Anker states the reason why plainly enough on their site. "Do Anker power banks support pass-through charging?"

Only problem with this battery I think is the usable battery is 6000mAh (60% of capacity), not much for 65w output. The 20k battery is my favourite anker battery - a nice sweet spot for capacity and power output for my MacBook Air. I thought I was all set and then they recalled it, at least in the UK anyway. Thinking to move to 537 24k...

Anker is set to release the 537 powerbank: basically the 535 powerbank you tested except it's 24,000mAh and it has 65W power output. It has the same ports as the 535, and it can charge two devices on the two C ports at 45W on one port, and 20 watts for the other one, perfect for laptop and phone charging.

It's a power bank, the use of this would be to charge with 220v instead of using 5.5 USB volt, disconnect and use, why leave it on the wall? But the most important thing was not said, How long does it take to charge from 0 to 100%

I was in to find out if it charged while connected to other devices, but sadly it doesn't. Bummer. I guess more flexible and cumbersome go hand in hand. 100g difference can't make up for more capacity and convenience of having everything charging at once.

Cool! Planning to get one -- but I have a concern. Currently I have the s23 ultra, does this support Super Fast Charging 2.0? I see it didn't show on your Samsung probably because of the cable you used (must be 5A or 100W cable). Were you able to test it out? EDIT: I spoke too soon. Now that you mentioned it cannot charge itself while outputting power to other devices, I'm not too sure of getting this anymore. Are there any alternative hybrid thingy like this out there?

For some reason it wont charge 3 gadgets simultaenously. When you plug the 3rd gadget, it says check the connection. Im sure the cord is not the problem coz ive tried to switch them and it works just fine. What could be the possible reason? Appreciate your comments.

that puts it in a lower power mode. like for charging your earbuds or a game controller. also prevents the unit from auto turning off because it thinks it's done charging something. Press it once again to turn it off. :)

I think the Type-C charging of the Hybrid Charger is ideal if you are charging from a larger DC Portable Power Station. That way, you do not need to run your DC to AC circuitry to do things like supply DC to a battery bank. It is a super niche case. I assume it is only there because Anker sells those types of devices also.

Why do no mainstream powerbanks output 40W=10V@4A, which is Huawei SCP other than Huawei's own power banks. Everyone is buying Huawei phones, and you cannot buy there power banks unless you are in China, warranty and support for them is non existent fir them outside of China.
