We put too much emphasis on romantic love and not enough on the love of friendship. They really were soulmates in that sense.

Same. My boyfriends my best ride or die friend and that gets us through a lot. Having it purely based on passion, fades and then you’re left with no foundation to keep you together.

I thought this was very romantic, just not sexual.

yeah, I remember I watched this show first with my dad and they reminded him so much of him and his childhood friend. His friend came out as gay in 1985, took a guy to prom in 1989 and died in august of 1996 from aids. before he past away they danced together because no one would get close to him anymore. TBF it wasn't a dance it was more my dad holding him and swaying.

You just can see they really love each other. Even tho its not romantically, it’s very real and deep. I’d give anything to have what they have.

Remembering how horrible people with HIV/AIDS during the 80s and 90s were treated, and this had me crying for all those who suffered painfully ... alone. Princess Diana really was the catalyst for compassion. I can only hope there were couples who stood by each other, and simplyvchose to keep it quietly private.

This was love. Pure, absolute, total love. The genuine care and adoration they felt for each other was clear even when they were fighting or she was on the verge of kicking him out or telling him how she would sue him to nonexistance. Still even then the love was there. Because only someone you love completly can make you that mad and hurt you that much. And him telling her that he was in love with Howard, you can see in her face the pain, not for her being cheated on, but for denying him his true love. They would sacrifice everything they had for the other. And in many ways, they did. Best of the 3 stories IMO, which is saying something since the other 2 are REALLY good as well

That's HEAVY! Elegant but extremely dark. The magnitude of this particular timeline is cataclysmic. It's very evident that Ms. Liu has studied both Italian and German Opera.....mainly German Opera. Judging by the almost Gothic atmosphere of certain moments within this timeline, I would be inclined to say that her mastery of optics and sense of drama are heavily influenced by one of the Godfathers of Heavy, Herr Richard Wagner. If these scenes were sequenced to "Brünnhilde's Immolation" or the "Awakening" leit motif.....our minds would explode. Bravo......bravo, ma'am.

I started crying the moment it started! 😭😭 thank you for cutting the other scenes and stitching just their parts together!! 🥳🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭🥰 They truly were the best, so you know he would’ve been her guardian Angel and been there with here when she got back into the single and ready to mingle stage! 😂I love how she also never settled down after this marriage. This was the doozy of her life and we can all be content in knowing if we went through that we’d not get married again, just be rich and fabulous and single and be like Alma Mahler Gropius Werfel! Omg she really is legit the same hahah that would’ve been wonderful I’ll have to watch the season over and see if they had an Easter egg in there! Oooh I’d love the show even more for that! (Y’all look up the song “Alma” by Tom Leher, he also sings one of my faves “The Masochism Tango” which also would’ve been a beeeeautiful addition hahah !)

I think this house is cursed. All 3 husbands from 3 different stories dies in the same house but only Karl's death is not a murder, but a willing euthanasia. Because the suffering from Aids as the disease progress is painful, so why suffer when you can choose to just gently go. After Karl's death, Simone set up an Aids foundation to help find cures. Its good to find out she had a genuine purpose in her life after Karl and Tommy. Also good to find out that Tommy is successful in his arts and still has that tattoo of Simone's face on his ass. 😂😂
