WWTBAM - Dan Blonsky's Run To $1,000,000 - Part 4

Dan Blonsky appeared in the hot seat on January 16th and 18th of 2000 and became WWTBAM's second $1,000,000 winner. A couple of people have requested that I post his run, and I just recently caught the rerun on GSN, so I'm happy to post it for those who requested it and for the rest of my subscribers.
This is the final part of his run which shows, in my opinion, the easiest $1,000,000 question ever on the American WWTBAM. :)

I IMMEDIATELY knew this answer because I learned it in science class and all I remember thinking was “93 million miles-that’s crazy.” Little did I know that would be the million dollar question. Heard that question and told my mom: “It’s 93 million miles. Let me know when he picks it.” She looked at me like “How do you know that?!?!? 😐” 😂😅🤣

i dont think as some posters do that this is such an easy question, but what makes it a bit "tilted" is in dan's own comment that "everything revolves around that number", in that you have 9.3, 93, 193. You get rid of the 2 extremes, and that may have influenced his decison.

This question was very easy - of course the distance between Earth and Sun is 93 million miles. I learned astronomy in school and that's the first thing that was taught besides of course the nine planets in our solar system and that our solar system is part of the Milky Way Galaxy. And in case you don't know the answer, it takes light about 8 minutes to travel from Earth to Sun. Light travels 186,000 miles per second, multiply this number by about 500 seconds and you get close to 93 million miles. That was a very easy question but the rest of his questions were very difficult so he had to earn that $1 million for sure because I only knew about the ameba (being the one celled organism), what's a pink slip, Panama bordering Columbia, the World Trade Center question and this one, that's it. Dan is a very smart guy. No way I could be on this show.
