I was fortunate to have Jason Thweatt as my professor for three classes at Virginia Tech. He is a brilliant man and a great teacher. I learned a lot from his classes.

I've always been fascinated by Georges Seurat. His "pointillism" style is one of my favorites. I believe "La Grande Jatte" is found at the Art Institute of Chicago.

BMW logo doesnt look like a propeller at all. Looks like a checker board segment in a circle. Mercedes Benz logo looks like propeller.

That’s what I was thinking too

It was designed to look like a propeller in motion.

what did he do to piss him off? i didn't catch it. that was a tough question for 4k. even if you have seen the movie, that's a rare thing to remember compared to what other questions could be asked

I don't know now. Thought he had mimicked Regis, but guess not.

@@michaelangst6078 "Rosebud" is possibly the most iconic line in the history of cinema. Most people who are familiar with the movie will gravitate towards that option.

Nothing like using a lifeline on a candy bar. 😁
@seikibrian86413 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's too bad he didn't know about candy bars, because he could have used the lifeline to find out that the first word spoken in Citizen Kane (after over two minutes of scenes of the dilapidated grounds of the Kane mansion) was "Rosebud," spoken during a closeup of Kane's lips and then cutting to him dropping his snow globe.

Before BMW made cars, they made airplane engines. The logo represents a white propeller spinning in a blue sky.

@matthaddock1817 Жыл бұрын
Didn't SAAB also make airplanes?
@seikibrian8641 Жыл бұрын
@@matthaddock1817 Yes, and they still do; the SAAB JAS 39 Gripen is one of my favorite fighters. For the first 10 years of their existence that's all they made, then they started making cars after WWII. They spun off the automobile division in 1990, and GM became the owner of the automobile maker while the aerospace and defense company continues. "SAAB" is an acronym for "Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolag" ("Swedish Airplane Company Limited").

Really? I always thought the logo was the Bavarian flag, since it 's also blue and white... and it stands for Bavarian Motor Works (the German translation's words also start with B, M and W, just can't remember what they are)
