This series has taught me more in 2 short videos than all of my research to date. Showing the differences between mic placements has been a massive help. Thank you.

What about the M90 Pro X or M70 Pro X?
@beyerdynamic11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question @kovalfetterer2218. Our M 90 PRO X can be used in a variety of ways (overhead, room microphone, kick drum outside)... Many things are really possible. M 70 PROX - Actually a broadcast microphone - but whatever you like is allowed. This means that you can always test it on other sound sources such as kick drums... You can watch a video on exactly this topic here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqeuf3eImtOSo68 Greetings, Patricia

@@beyerdynamic I asked this because drummer Mike Terrana used an M99 which is now discontinued on his snare and the M90 Pro and M70 looked similar to the M99, so I wanted to see if a microphone similar to the M99 would work for the bottom side of the snare drum

Thanks for the cool video! Have you ever tried the MC950 as a bottom or snare top mic? I just got one today, and I am messing around with it on Hi-Hats and Snares. Thanks and talk soon!

Thanks for your feedback and great choice! We usually see it a lot on Hi Hats but due to its transparent and full range sound, the MC 950 will also perform great on Snare. Make sure you point the mic away from cymbals for best isolation. PAD is recommended :) Greetings, Patricia

@@beyerdynamic Hi Patricia! Yes, I am using the pad and the low cut filter too! On hi-hat it works pretty well so far. Due to it's super-cardioid there's almost no bleed from snare and crashes and I can gain it pretty high.
