“Music and singing” being the focal point of what people call “worship” is leading people into a kind of deception. Read your whole Bible to understand what real “worship” is. What is it that God really wants from his people? Do you really think he sent his son to save us and to invite us into his kingdom and lifestyle…so that we can gather together and play music and sing with one another…and call this the main symbol of worship?!?smh please. Read the book of Amos and you will start to have a clue. Really tired of these movements spouting things about worship, running right to the book of Psalms saying this is the picture. Psalms is mainly a book of PRAYERS, David’s and other men’s personal diary like moments in their lives “in response” to their WORSHIP OF GOD. Hoping and praying we get back to what real worship is…the mode of tradition is strong in the religious form of the church…Jesus came and rejected their tradition, maybe we ought to do the same.

While music and singing are certainly significant components of worship, it's crucial to acknowledge that worship encompasses much more than just these activities. The Bible portrays worship as a multifaceted expression of reverence, obedience, and devotion to God. It involves prayer, praise, thanksgiving, acts of service, and living lives that honor God's teachings and commandments. Despite the presence of many songs and hymns of praise in the Book of Psalms, it also features prayers, laments, and expressions of faith and trust in God. These various expressions reflect the complex relationship between humanity and the divine, comprising both joyful celebrations and moments of profound introspection and longing for God's presence. Rather than dismissing music and singing as deceptive or superficial forms of worship, we should recognize their power to inspire and uplift believers, drawing them closer to God and fostering a sense of community and unity among worshipers. It’s not about elevating one form of worship above others, but rather embracing the diversity of expressions that can bring us into deeper communion with the divine.
