Very informative. I love plants. It's funny because generally if I am told it's an easy plant to grow I kill it and if it's difficult I do well with it. Over the years I have gotten better. Thank you for the video

Here were we live humidity don't drop below 60%. Most of the times is even 80% and more. I'm looking for plants that will help me reduce that! Can you help with some ideas?

I'm lucky then if spider plant is good for cleaning air... apparently i can only keep spider plant and lucky bamboo without killing them in two weeks after i got them... brought a dragon plant from ikea, most leaves are gone within 3 days - i didn't know it's super sensitive to temperature and it journeyed from 20 indoors to -40 outdoors back to 20 indoors (degree Celsius).

Water spider plants when dry they don't like wet feet. Brown tips indicate too much water
@DulceN3 жыл бұрын
They need to be watered deeply and have dry soil before waterings.

The red-flowering geranium may be ‘new’ in the USA, but it’s nothing new. This plant is the traditional and very popular ‘geranio’ in Spain and has been grown since forever.

How to water and how much water for a Dracena Marginata? I bought a very full beautiful 36" high plant. I give her 1/2 cup of spring water once a week . Every two weeks I mix a little liquid Miracle Grow in the water. She's kept indoors in partial shade next to a window but she's still shedding her lower leaves which I don't want to happen. I want her very full at the bottom like before. Some higher leaves are turning reddish to yellow color then dropping off and other leaves are drying up (grayish color) the first time I gave her Miracle Grow (maybe I didn't mix enough water the first, not sure.) What am I doing wrong. I want to keep her healthy with very full leaves. I just bought a water and ph plant meter. Please help!

Draceana doesn't tolerate fluoride and reacts by developing yellow or brown scorched areas or browning of the leaf tips. Eventually, the leaf turns completely brown and dies. Watering with bottled water eliminates the problem of fluoride in the water but doesn't eliminate fluoride from other sources, including perlite. Perlite is beneficial for most plants because it improves drainage. However, because it contains high levels of fluoride, dracaena is best planted in potting mixtures with no perlite. Avoid fertilizers containing superphosphates, which often contain fluorine.

I need help, so when you said full sun or half sun, does that mean that we have to keep the windows open, or can we leave them closed but in front of a window? Is it considered full sun when we leave it in front of window where the sun is, but the window is closed or no?

the indoor plants also give out clean oxygen --- not the outdoor oxygen exposed to fumes from cars, air planes , chemical sprays - just excellent A#1 oxygen.

Ok do what’s the right way of watering a Pothos? I’m always afraid to do so because a lot of the time they dye from rotting. Everywhere I look, it says Pothos it’s the easiest plant to grow but, not for me!
@dismith736 жыл бұрын
Pothos like to have their soil dry out completely between waterings. If left continually in damp soil, the roots will rot. Let the plant tell you when to water. When it starts to droop, it needs a good drink.

It is not the spider plant that is the #1 air purifier, but the Bamboo Palm check out the NASA clean air study on Wikipedia

Not even include the peace lily, which is actually the no.1 air purifying plant according to NASA.
