When I listened to the dispatcher, I heard the timeout. The timeout for Truck 812 was 14:01 hours. Trucks dispatched : Engine 848, Truck 828, Truck 812, Engine 830 and others. The electronic siren on Truck 812 is the original power-call siren, first invented and patented by General Electric. I totally wish some of the fire companies in my area had the General Electric power-call siren.

Much better then ones where the camera is mounted straight at the windshield and all it is is sirens.. Thank you for the video

LOL we had a tower do that, bucket over the cab..he took an uneven piece of the road fast, jumped like they did, but when the bucket came down, it smashed the windshield !! I hate driving...I work with pussies. I take a corner pretty good, but they always bitch saying I'm going to roll us 1 day. Hopefully there necks are out the window !! J/K....anyways, they bitch, I drive, hardcore !! Approaching a 3-way stop, I look to the left before I get to corner and before I let trees on left blind us to oncoming traffic, but do they c me do that ? Nope. So, one bitched saying I didn't know if a car was coming from the left or not. So I brought him and the chief to the intersection, and displayed my thought process and activity...the chief was very impressed, the guy shut his trap ! My hood ornament goes on the centre line, and either move over or get sideswiped by me....Same guy now tries to get me in shit when I drive...the other day, he purposely walked behind my rig when I was backing in to the spot...how much warning you want bitch ? a back-up alarm, flashing lights, flashing 4-ways, and a spotter or 2....at the last minute, he walks behind me, then says "whoa slow down you almost hit me" to which my spotter said "shut up, you walked behind him, you seen the truck, you knew who was driving"..I guess senior guys hate the newbies when they've been on somewhere else before..and no, I DONT have that know-it-all attitude !

I'm not sure which FDNY you're talking about but the one I know does NOT drive like that. I admire the true competitive volunteer spirit and drive to be better and faster than the "neighbors" and having bragging rights, but it's only a matter of time before PG county has a catastrophic incident that brings everyone back down to earth and gets their priorities back in line. I know it's cool to be 20 years old and in a busy fire company but if you ever drove like that in my department, one handed, taking your eyes off the road to see what's happening in the back, you'd never see the drivers seat again. That's a million dollar rig with priceless lives in the back. It is your responsibility to get them there and back safely.

Im on a Ladder company 19 years now , i work in a city with tighter streets and lots of traffic lights, one way streets, double parked cars & when I drive we go balls out just like this guy with the Q pinned on every run from a stuck elevator to a working fire , I should film a run , sometimes I have only 10 to 12 inches on either side of the rig between the cars I’m passing ! Balls to wall is the only way to go !!! Awsome video!!.... But It sucks for a lot of city’s including FDNY who are implementing modified responses where firefighters must refrain from using lights and sirens for certain non-fire and non-life threatening emergencies....It’s bullshit!!

@k0smon if you've ever driven in the DC area..you'd see why Q is always "up". DC area drivers are mostly oblivious to emergency vehicles and roads are chronically congested, and keeping it wound up usually gets the point across, basically constantly screaming..get the hell outta my way cuz im coming". Like ClubCrew says...it's annoying, but it gets drivers' attention.

Eventually that were told that they could not drive anymore.

Been noticing that a lot of fire departments have these for their trucks, those hoses that you put on the truck's exaust pipe so the inside of the building wont get filled with the trucks exaust, it goes through the hose to a machine of some kind that is on the outside of the building and gets released into the air......Boy when I first saw the inside of the truck, I have never seen so many folders of whatever you have inside of them in my life, I'm guessing those must be maps of the different areas that you may need to travel to.....now on the roof of the truck, in between the tow fans you have a red light an an orange light, may I inquire what those are for, I know the two red round ones are for to read stuff inside of the trucfk at night.....
@ImageIsBaws10 жыл бұрын
