Doesnt adding distilled water to the HCl acid when the nozzle of the burette is being cleaned change the concentration of the acid. Which will in turn change the indicator colour, ruining the results, someone explain this to me pls

Adding water to HCl won't make it more or less concentrated- it will be more diluted but it's the amount of HCl (acid) that make an acid more or less concentrated. So it wont affect the results if you add water. Hope this helps😊

@@myarparekh5499 If concentration is the number of moles in a given volume and since adding water will increase the volume the concentration will decrease. pH is related to the concentration of H+ so the pH will be affected. Like OP I still don’t understand why she added distilled water.

thanks for the video! why do you only rinse the conical flask with distilled water, and not the alkali/acid too?

Adding excess acid or alkali will affect the concentration of HCl you work out in the end. Using distilled water makes more sense since it ensures all of the acid and alkali react. Note that distilled water will not affect the moles of the solution.
