Great podcast episode! I'm planning on trying to fall planting next year. This past summer was my first sol blocking warm weather transplants! Lisa mentioned"new seeds on the website", which is exciting! Hopefully they are listed as such! Thanks ladies!!

Well... I transplanted last month.. Rebecca , snap dragons, feverfew. some of the snaps sprung up so fast I had to punch buds off then heat wave has come to the north east, 20* warmer then average and they are stressed. First time cool annuals to this degree. Then a rodent came and eat the some of the roots so I decided to give early spring transplant a First time go.. so I'm preparing the beds as soon as a frost hits. Usually mid October. Looks as tho it won't happen until late October. What ever grows is in God's hands as I believe and trust for many many years. I plan and submit and God willing the increase comes and He knows best for me. Thanks for sharing the vast knowledge Ladies.. ❤

Very useful tips but I wish I had some of your warm weather problems. Here in Scotland I’m looking at torrential rain, cold temperatures and we have already had a couple of early ground frosts. I’m too late with my seed sowing and so have missed that cool weather transplant window once again. Maybe one year I’ll get the timing right but in the meantime I shall keep listening to your excellent advice and resign myself to spring planting.

Hello! So sorry to hear about your cold weather struggles 😩 It can be difficult to get the timing right in a challenging climate such as yours. Perhaps we can do a follow-up episode about when it is too late to plant out 🥶 Meanwhile, I would recommend marking your calendar for next year while your experiences this year are still fresh in your mind! 📆 Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words 💚 Enjoy beautiful Scotland (I would love to visit there someday!), and have a wonderful day 🤗

Perfect timing! I needed to hear this. Wondering if I could use tulle over hoops to protect seedlings from birds and squirrels and not cause heat buildup.

Hello! You could definitely experiment with that 👩‍🔬 When using any type of covering over your plants, it is always a good idea to keep an eye on things to make sure they are not overheating. There is also an even lighter weight of Agribon (AG-15) that you may be interested in checking out. AG-15 does not provide any frost protection but allows 90% light transmission, and it may hold up better long-term than the tulle in outdoor conditions. Just wanted to point that out in case you have any issues with your tulle outdoors! Best of luck, and please let us know how everything works out for you. Thanks so much for watching, and have a fabulous day! 💚🤗💚

Oh! Good information! I didn’t know about the AG 15. I’ll keep it in mind. I’ve ordered some bird netting that I hope will do the trick. Thanks!
