Love the combination of nostalgic instrumentation with very relatable, contemporary lyricism. Gives the songs an odd weight, as if they’re modern classics. “Take It and Smile” especially…it really conveys how I’ve also been feeling about things lately. Loving this album the more I listen to it

Imo you’re probably my most underrated musician. I really appreciate all your music, it takes me back to a time I was never a part of if that makes any sense, and yet it’s brand new and part of the present. Not sure how you do it dude. Keep making music please!

Truly remarkable knowledge of melody- great contours, well timed tension and release, easily singable, catchy as hell. Especially ballad of the Texas king. I’d love to hear him talk about his writing process
