Wyandotte Chickens - Growth 1-6 weeks Beginner chics

Started off with us at 1 weeks in a huge plastic bin. At 3 weeks moved outside to wooden coop. 4 weeks added run and introduced to having more fresh air and space. Now they are much bigger! This video shows growth of the Wyandotte chics at 1-6 weeks.

I have one and a cornish cross...i raised them as house pets...they are the sweetest things... so loving and smart... just precious and good layers.

@@PureLady i have 2... they usually take a break for a couple of days or a week... their names are BLONDEE and BLACKEE...BLONDEE started laying in December 2020 at 5 mos and BLACKEE in January at 6 mos... they sleep next to me in their beds at night i trained them to give kissys and cuddles... BLONDEE is the energetic one and boy can she get into DEVILMENT lol BLACKEE is more laid back and always comes to get me when BLONDEE'S in a fix lol... i have 2 bathrooms one is a shower i set their feeding spot up in the shower stall and a secondary in the kitchen... i make sure they're clean and the floor is constantly sterilized... they are so smart and when they were chicks they toilet papered my bathroom... that was a riot lol! The look on their faces when i went to check on them was priceless... they are very observant... they were used to my routine of picking up poop... i went to check in on them and those little smarties had taken a piece of toilet tissue and laid it over their poop! Now that is too smart lol... when they are in between laying i give them hugs and cuddles to let them know it's okay if they don't lay an egg and that they are very loved and they get baths twice a month and i make sure their little Bums are always clean... i've learned an awful lot since i have them... i think you are doing an awesome job... there's always something new to learn... keep up the good work! HI !!! I am about to hatch a chicken egg at home, with an incubator. Can you please let me know how to care for the pets after birth, what they eat at all stages, When should I put them out ??? Please, I need your help for that. Also, Is it fine if I keep it inside my house? Because I heard that they will adapt with the environment they have. Or otherwise, I have a SMALL piece of land with grass. Thank you !!! 🥺🥺❤❤

Hello and thanks for subscribing! I used layer crumbles, chicken scratch with corn and oats. Oyster shells. They also ate leftover fruits like strawberries, watermelon, blueberries, etc. I thought I made a video on it.

Yes!! They have yellow bellys

Absolutely! It can be a bit tricky, but there are some early signs that might indicate if a chick is a rooster. Check for larger, more prominent combs and wattles, as well as more upright and pointed feathers on the neck and saddle area. However, it's not foolproof, and sometimes only time will reveal their true gender. 🐔
