Nicely done! The "production" scenes at the "crash site" added some fun to it, well done! Keep up the good work, thank you for the entertainment!

Rusty, as a retired 40 year airline employee. This resto has a warm place in my heart. I have many dozens of airlines models, but yours tops them all !!

Another perfect restoration. Your ability to make these broken old toys look new again is nothing short of impressive.

I recently restored the same model having to fabricate the wheels and the rudder and filling in the spaces (fairings) at the rear center of the wing (with balsa wood) and finishing off the engine cowlings so they are complete on the wing. Decals for guys this small are difficult to find but they're out there. You did an excellent job...thank you and best wishes!

Nicely done, only thing missing are some decals of some kind. I especially liked the work on the tires and propellers. Adding the acorn nuts was a good idea. Thanks for sharing this video with me and please keep them coming in.

Paul Orth I thought about decals of some kind, but I really wasn’t sure which way to go with it. What country or military or private?

Rusty, what works good for small parts is to use one of those cheap HF magnetic trays and it holds the small parts in place while you sandblast them, thus saving your gloves.

is wd 40 ok to clean off rust???

Baskets Be sure to wire wheel or sand the rust off first, then treat it with the converter. It will keep the rust from returning.

Really great job,especially replacing propeller and tires,however there was some metal straightening of the fuselage at the wings that needed to be done..🙁
@RustyShepherd4 жыл бұрын
Actually there wasn't any metal that needed work. The bends u see are the factory bends that tie the fuselage to the wings. RS

I wish you could have done more with the body dents.
@RustyShepherd5 жыл бұрын
toot tall The dents on either side below the windows is original to the plane. That’s where they folded the metal together. Trying to smooth the window would have destroyed the original look. RS.
@tootall55595 жыл бұрын
@@RustyShepherd They may be original to THIS plane, but not all of the same maker and model. I looked them up.
@tootall55595 жыл бұрын
@@RustyShepherd there's also a dent by the nose, and a crease halfway down the body that are definitely not original to the model. I know how difficult they can be to remove. if the metal is stretched, it's very difficult to shrink it back (but it can be done if you know how) I realize you may not know what's original and what's not, these are well before your time and even before mine. Frankly for anyone else, I'd just say good job, but I have come to expect a lot from you. It's your own fault, you most always take it to the nines.
