Matt is an amazing vocalist. I loved him in MDD. Sucks he left but I’m glad he’s still killing it in TDG. MDD only two albums slap hard and I have memories with those. Because of that Matt is close to my heart

Yeah, I personally think their music is better since Matt Walst joined! Not that their music with Adam was bad because I love all of those albums. It’s just I like them better with Matt. And the reason I think is because when I first started getting into post grunge music It was their album human That really stuck with me and was my favorite album in the genre and that actually is the album that got me into angst and heavy music as a whole. It was their song tell me why off of that album that really stuck with me. At first when I started hearing this music that was the only song in the genre I would listen to because I was afraid of listening to that music because back in the day I was self-conscious about the music I would listen to but yeah that song tell me why by three days grace was literally my favorite song for awake two years straight and is still to this day my most played song on Apple Music when you combine my Apple Music replay for all years

It's definitely Three Days Grace evolved instrumentally. Been a fan of them since their first album and I love Transit to Venus, which was after "Life Starts Now". I was curious when Matt first joined and liked some of their singles, but I just can't get with his voice. It's not bad by any means, it just doesn't click with me. Also, quick band fact: Matt, the new lead vocalist is the bassists brother.

I was wondering where these guys were! Even though Adam sounds arrogant and that he just got up and left TDG, his voice is so iconic. Life Starts Now is one of their best albums. "Bitter Taste" is a banger and fun to play drums to. Great Canadian rock band.

If I recall correctly Adam left because Neil was being a control freak on Transit To Venus with the sound, how it was produced making it sound to "radio friendly" and he believed it was them selling out. And Adam didn't like being told what to write about on top of that so he left and I don't blame him one bit

It took me a few listens to warm up to this. I like you both, grew up on this band as a go to, everyday, get lost from the daily bshyt group. It's different, off kilter but Wyatt said it right, it's fresh. That's the key. Originality is lost art with most bands doing 23 blast beats, 34 breakdowns and verses with no value. I love a breakdown, blast beats in the right spots but give me a verse that means something and a chorus that at a concert, everyone knows, were there. I'm also a sucker for a little EDM in metal tracks. Always have.

Glad they have kind of kept the same writing style as Adam did (lyrically) but still added his own spins to the songs.
