Regarding some of the confusion, I believe what the article meant by "people who left before the show", they meant people who left before the END of the show. So, like, Drew walking out, Jay exiting through the crowd, Kaiser being speared (and presumably therefore taken away to be seen to), etc. etc. are all carefully planned so that you know they are safe. I think the confusion over who was in the backstage massacre is by design, and they want us wondering who got "got" and who didn't, and wouldn't be surprised if they chose crewmembers with passing resemblance to wrestlers on purpose. I think the whole point is that we spend the next week wondering who is 'dead' and who isn't. They could also easily say the carnage extended beyond what we saw, and so the "talent" involved in the massacre could be yet to be known. Finally, I think the idea of the attack having a domino effect on multiple programs (by which they mean stories, yes. I don't believe Americans use the word 'program' to mean 'tv show') means that some of the fallout won't be to do with people feuding directly with the Six, but rather it effecting their own personal story. For example, Chad Gable was supposed to compete for MITB qualifying, which he presumably now can't, and perhaps the breakup of Alpha Academy may be delayed if, in response to the attack, the other members feel sorry for Gable and maybe temporarily forgive him after he appears to have a change of heart (before becoming an asshole again, of course.) All in all I'm incredibly excited to see where this all goes.

That report does make it seem like they are leaning more to the meta. It's going to have ramifications on other stories because the Wyatt Sicks is literally fighting for the character gimmick aspect that has been lessened in the Endeavor era. I think this means the presence of Howdy will make other people "remember who they are" and "revel in what they are". Take for example last week Scarlett finally got her tarot cards back. Now Karrion Kross somehow knew this week wasn't the week to fight the New Day? Coincidence?

It may be part of the story as to why that we don't know what happened to them (death, knocked out, etc.). In the teaser vids, there was the counselor that disappeared that everyone thought something bad happened to - but then she re-emerged singing praises of Howdy, etc. We'll see what happens on Smackdown... but I think that if everyone is still talking about it and deep diving this much, WWE hasn't done poorly at all. They've got people talking ALOT and not handing them the answers. They have to tune in for those :)

WWE was treating Ricochet like gold when he first got there. Teaming him with Alyster Black was nothing but money. Just like teaming him with Braun Strowman. The two of them were awesome and the fans loved them together. Ricochet deserves to get the push from WWE. He's been their IC Champion so he at least deserved a shot at either the United States Title or the World Heavyweight Title. If they keep holding these young bucks back. This is just HHH cooking. The trick is to make the "attacked" appear like people we know to get people talking about it thus driving engagement and interest to what is happening. It's smart. The more we talk about it, the better. Chad Gable at the end was the icing on the cake to get us to believe that the rest of the bodies were other potential superstars. Whether they were or not it doesn't matter, the goal is for it to be speculated.

t was very well done but I don't think anything could have matched up with the lead up to it. The mystery, the clues hidden everywhere. We watched the therapist for an hr and studied every detail, even shadows and reflections. I hope this does well, but that was impossible to live up to. Maybe if they keep it going to some degree to see their plans week to week, that would help keep people engaged.
