Vmin are soulmates, they tend to be happy when they are around each other, you can always catch them talking together, laughing together, playing together, etc. They have a strong bond. They are often touchy with each other but that’s normal in Korea since Koreans tend to be touchy and you can see that with bts members, this touchiness gets mistaken for “gay” sometimes by shippers. Shippers are people that think the members have a sexual/romantic relationship, be careful when watching bts duo videos because sometimes the created is a shipper or the creators audience are shippers. Even amongst the BTS members, they have a deep familial bond. It is very common in Korea for people are close friends and/or family to be more physically affectionate and that includes men as well. It is not viewed as weird in Korea for men to give their friends little butt slaps or hug each other a lot. It’s just their way of expressing their love for their friends in a platonic way. Of course you wouldn’t see this amongst strangers or someone you are unfamiliar with, only really people who are really close. The line between this skinship and public displays of affection are usually actions like kissing or excessive touching that is only seen amongst couples which is why you’ll often see them as punishments in variety shows.

Taehyung is from Daegu. He moved into the dorm and Seoul in late summer/early fall 2011. Jimin is from Busan. He moved to Seoul in late spring 2012. Since he still went to highschool he transfered to the same school Taehyung was attending. Taehyung was unfortnately in a parallel class and asked his friends to make Jimin feel welcome. Jimin was afraid people would make fun of him for his dialect and gave mono-sylbic answers to questions so Taehyung's friends stopped talking to him. Taehyung noticing Jimin was alone confronted his friends about it and the missunderstanding was solved. But no, they did *NOT* know each other longer. The ones who met first and built the first friendship were Namjoon and Yoongi since they were the first of the signed trainees that debuted to meet. That was in fall of 2010.
