Plus NCT will have last debut unit by this year NCT Tokyo: International class that focus in Japan with Korean members & Japanese. Currently, NCT got 20 members + 6 in NCT Tokyo that will debut soon. Interesting fact: 2 members from NCT Dream also debut in NCT 127, where in this video are NCT Dream's leader & main rapper the last man from left (Mark white shirt jeans blue) and vocalist the last man from right (Haechan white shirt black jeans). And love to say again, all idols in SM are very versatile. FYI : the far left and far right is Mark & Haechan (also in NCT 127) The song "GRADUATION" has a deep meaning for NCT Dream and fans, previously they had a graduation system, they debuted at an average age of 14.5 years, and if they were 20 years old (Korean age) then they had to graduate. The man on the far left is "Mark" he was in 1999, so in 2018 he had to graduate from NCT Dream and in 2020, their agency SM Ent removed the graduation system, so Mark returned and this song also means that they "have graduated from the system graduation" If you are interested, we will provide lots of interesting facts about NCT in your next nct's reaction

Graduation is a song where the guy on the far left supposed to graduate in the group because NCT Dream is originally formed in order for the older guys (when they reach 20) to graduate. so when the far left, Mark reached 20 years old he graduated NCT Dream in 2018 and they continued as a 6 member group but on 2020 4 members will graduate and only 2 members left that's why SM decided to make NCT Dream as a fixed and permanent group and removed the graduation system and put Mark back. hence Graduation is super emotional song for both fans and the members. the middle one is Jaemin and yeah the most jolly, kind, sweet, and weird person you'll meet in your life.

If you care to read it, here is an explanation on NCT. They are actually one group with 27 members. They have subunits though. If you don’t want to read it all, I recommend reading the first few sentences and then going to the summary at the end of the paragraphs. NCT (which stands for Neo Culture Technology) is a guy group under SM Entertainment which debuted in 2016. The thought behind the creation of the group is that they can be a group with potentially an unlimited number of members or units. There are currently 5 subunits of NCT and 27 members. The first unit to debut in April 2016 was NCT U with their song “7th Sense”. NCT U is the subunit which has a rotational roster, where the number of members and the members themselves depend on what the song calls for. For example, ‘7th Sense’ had 6 members on the song: Taeyong, Taeil, Jaehyun, Mark, Ten, and Doyoung. But other NCT U tracks include ‘Baby Don’t Stop’ which only has Taeyong and Ten and ‘Boss’ which had Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Doyoung, WinWin, Jungwoo and Lucas. Any NCT member can be tapped for an NCT U song. As such, every NCT member is automatically a member of the subunit. With me so far? You don’t have to remember names, I’m just getting you familiar with them. In July 2016, NCT 127 debuted as the first fixed roster unit. There were 7 members at the time: Taeyong (the leader of 127 but also a big fixture in all NCT and SM along with ➡️), Mark, Jaehyun, Haechan, Yuta, Taeil and WinWin. Their debut song was ‘Firetruck’. In August 2016, NCT Dream debuted with the song ‘Chewing Gum’. They had the younger members, with an average age of 15. The members are Mark (yes from 127), Haechan (yes from 127), Jaemin, Jisung, Chenle, Jeno, and Renjun. In 2018 NCT released their first project for the entire group including all members, titled NCT 2018 Empathy. They also debuted 3 new members: Jungwoo, Lucas and Kun. The album included new NCT U tracks, NCT Dream tracks and NCT 127 tracks. The roster was 18 members. You can see them all together in the track NCT 2018: Black on Black. In later 2018 three new members were debuted in NCT: Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang. Also in the last few months of the year, Jungwoo was added to NCT 127 and WinWin was removed to prepare for the debuting of a new subunit. The last day of 2018, WayV was announced as the newest fixed roster subunit, who would be operating from China. The members are Kun (the leader), WinWin, Ten (who was in the very first song but since was on hold. Ten is one of the top dancers in kpop. He was kept busy), Xiaojun, Hendery, Yangyang, and Lucas. They debuted in the middle of January 2019 with a Chinese version of 127’s ‘Regular’ and their song ‘Take Off’. October 2019, 4 members of NCT also became members of the supergroup SuperM which consists of members of NCT, EXO, and Taemin. They debuted in the US. And consist of Taemin, Taeyong, Mark, Lucas, Ten, Kai, and Baekhyun. In 2020, NCT once again came together to release a full group album, entitled ‘NCT 2020: Resonance’. The two-part album includes songs from all units and many NCT U songs, most notably ‘Make A Wish’, ‘90’s Love’ ‘From Home’ and ‘Work It’. Two new members were added to the roster, bringing the total to 23: Shotaro and Sungchan. They have not yet been placed in a subunit. NCT released a third full group album called NCT 2021 Universe: The 3rd Group Album. The song featuring all of NCT was “Beautiful”, however Lucas and WinWin did not take place in the song, video or the album. In 2022, we were told there were 3 more potential NCT members for a future unit that would have Sungchan and Shotaro but this isn’t definite. In May 2023, Lucas formally left WayV and NCT. Two weeks later, Shotaro and Sungchan left NCT to be in the group RIIZE. So there are now 20 members. In 2023, it was announced NCT would quit expanding with a final subunit which is created through the tv show NCT: LASTART. The members are Sion, Yushi, Riku, Jungmin, Sakuya, Ryo and Daeyoung. So to sum up the current situation: NCT - 4 subunits NCT U: all 20 members NCT 127: 9 members (Taeyong (leader), Mark, Johnny, Taeil, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Yuta, Jungwoo, and Haechan) NCT Dream: 7 members but 2 are also in 127. To understand NCT-Dream's style and sound you have to understand the concept of the group. When they debuted, they were all teenagers. The whole point of this group is to appeal to fans in their age group. Kpop is full of young groups who are trying to attract an older, more mature audience. Therefore, I think SM Entertainment was pretty clever to create this sub-unit as a way to catch the attention of a younger demographic. Why not market music to a younger audience? I think it's kind of refreshing that SM decided to start NCT-Dream out with more of a family-friendly concept because all the members were actually still children. In their Killing Voice performance, from left to right, the members are: > Mark is the leader of Dream, the main rapper and a dancer, who is also an original member of NCT-U, NCT-127 and SuperM; he is Korean-Canadian. > RenJun is a main vocalist; he is Chinese (He actually learned Korean as a child and was bilingual in Mandarin and Korean before joining SM. Everyone jokes that he is more fluent in Korean than the Korean members.) >Jeno is a lead rapper (who became the main rapper and Defacto leader when Mark "graduated".) > Jaemin is a lead rapper, lead dancer and sub-vocalist. > Jisung is the youngest member of all of NCT so far -- who happens to also be one of the tallest, and the member with the deepest voice. He is the main dancer, a vocalist and sub-rapper, as well as one of the best dancers in NCT, so he is the one with the dance breaks in most of their songs. > Chenle is a main vocalist; he is Chinese. (He is a child prodigy who was a fairly famous actor and singer as a child in China.) > Haechan (the one who often has the high notes) is a main vocalist and lead dancer; he is also a member of NCT-127. NCT-Dream is NCT's third sub-unit, which began in August 2016, and it is made up of the 7 youngest members of NCT at the time. All the Dream members are currently between the ages of 24 and 21 years old -- they were 14-17 when they debuted. (They will no longer be the youngest members when NCT's fifth sub-unit, NCT-Tokyo, debuts with 7 new members at the end of this year, making NCT a 27-member group in total.) SM originally created this sub-unit with the idea that if they had a trainee that they felt was ready to debut even though they were really young, they would start out as a member of NCT-Dream. They were the cute babies of the group who were learning the ropes and honing their skills because they are young, but they are also some of the most talented because they debuted way sooner than a lot of trainees. The way NCT-Dream originally was designed to work was that the members were part of the group until they turn 19 and become an adult. SM's original plan was that when the members turned 19, they were supposed to graduate from the group and they were no longer considered a member of NCT-Dream. Mark "graduated" from NCT-Dream in 2018, and Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin and RenJun, we thought would be graduating in 2019. (Which would have left NCT-Dream with only 2 members, with the idea that new trainees would probably debut sometime in 2020 and become members of NCT-Dream.) However, SM announced at the beginning of 2020 that they decided to make NCT-Dream a permanent group and suspend the whole " graduation" concept, including putting Mark back in the group. As you heard, with their debut song "Chewing Gum" they started out with a very young and cute concept that fit the fact that they were all teenagers. But over the years, their style and concept has grown and evolved like the members of the group. Any songs from 2016-17 you should expect to have that cute, young vibe. It wasn't until their "Boom" comeback era, after Mark had "graduated" and the members were starting to grow up, that their style and sound really started to take on a more mature edge. NCT-Dream's "Candy" on the other hand, is a remake of the iconic song "Candy" by SM's very first Idol group H.O.T. in 1996. Therefore, if you look up NCT-Dream's MV, you will see it's supposed to be a homage to H.O.T.'s original version. If you compare Dream's version with H.O.T.'s original MV, you will see all the similarities in NCT-Dream's MV. Dream's version takes the iconic, nostalgic style of H.O.T.'s song and adds modern elements to update it for the new century. H.O.T.'s original song is about being addicted to a girl like a piece of candy. Even though you want to break up with her and stop seeing her, she keeps luring you back in with her sweetness and beauty. Like your favorite candy, you can't give her up no matter how hard you try. As you will see, NCT-Dream's version of the song reinterprets the song and gives it a different meaning. "Candy" is one of H.O.T.'s most iconic songs, and literally every new group, both boy groups and girl groups, learn the song and choreography and they perform it on music programs as one of their rookie performances. I doubt you could find a Kpop artist -- or even a Korean of any age -- who doesn't know H.O.T.'s "Candy." That is why NCT-Dream's version is so meaningful for anyone who knows the song's history and one of the reasons why it has quickly become so popular. "ISTJ" was Dream's newest song, which is why you heard the whole song because they were on Dingo's Killing Voice to promote their "ISTJ" comeback. To get to know NCT-Dream better, you should check out their MVs in order of when they were released. As you will start to discover as you go along, you will see and hear how their style has grown and changed over time. That is also part of the group's concept. As the members grow and mature so too does their sound and style. That is why they debuted with their song "Chewing Gum," which has a very cute and bubbly concept that fits the fact that they were all teenagers at the time. They had to grow and mature into the sound you hear now. SM's no dummy when it comes to creating groups that gain global popularity. It just goes to show you why it's one of the Big 3 entertainment companies in the world. :D As mentioned, NCT stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new-original) Culture Technology, which is what the group as a whole is designed to be. They are a new and original concept and style of Kpop group that embraces all cultures and technologies to reach everyone around the world. Fun fact: Neo City is the city that NCT is from. Because the group is made up of so many diverse members who are from all over the world, when they come together as one group, they are said to reside in Neo City. Which is why NCT fans are NCTzens and WayV's fans are WayZenNi -- the zen connecting them with NCT (WayZenNi in Chinese means WeishenV (WayV in Chinese) will cherish you) -- because we are citizens of the Neo city. We fans are also multi-cultural and diverse from all over the world and from all walks of life, so we are invited to become citizens of SM's/NCT's Neo City. Although NCT officially started debuting in April 2016 with NCT-U, NCT was actually introduced to the media in February 2016 as part of SM's new Neo Culture Technology concept. I think it's kind of interesting to hear Lee SooMan's (SM's founder) explanation about the creation of Neo Culture Technology (Neo Culture Technology is really more encompassing than just NCT, the Kpop group is just one part of SM's Neo Culture concept, which has now morphed into SM's Culture Universe and Kwangya) and it's cool to see the epic way NCT was introduced to the media. The very first members of NCT entered wearing masks and their identities were revealed as they removed their masks. Lee SooMan is kind of known for being a little extra and going over the top, and this presentation is a good example of that. LOL NCT's concept has always been centered on different aspects of dreams and dreaming, so part of the showcase sets up the group's dream concept. And it even shows how SM had always planned for NCT's Chinese sub-unit to debut from the very beginning. In the showcase you will see WinWin as a character in the Chinese part of the story, which sets up the idea that SM plans to create a Chinese sub-unit. It just took the company 3 years to figure out how to navigate all the political issues with China, so WayV (originally planned to be called NCT-V) didn't actually end up debuting until 2019. I also think this is why we saw Kun, the leader of WayV, as a member of NCT's pre-debut SMRookies and why he participated in the Chinese version of NCT-U's song "Without You" in 2016, but didn't officially debut until WayV was created. I suspect SM was getting him ready for NCT-V's debut, but everything got delayed and pushed back as the company tried to figure out how to make the Chinese sub-unit happen. Which I think also is why WinWin became a member of NCT-127 and hasn't been a part of the group since WayV's debut -- 127 was just a placeholder to hone Winwin's skills while SM worked on setting up WayV.

NCT has 5 sub-units and soon will be 6 because NCT JAPAN/TOKYO will debut NCT has songs wherein all of the members are in there (BLACK ON BLACK/NCT 2018) (RESONANCE/NCT 2020) (BEAUTIFUL/NCT 2021) and recently (GOLDEN AGE/NCT 2023) NCT has 20 members (9 for 127) (7 for DREAM) note: 2 of the members of 127 are also members of DREAM (6 for WAYV) NCT U -rotational unit, meaning all members of NCT are part of this unit. They chose the members to participate in a song depends on the concept NCT 127 - 127 are the longitude of Seoul Korea and they have 9 members NCT DREAM - the youngest group (the 7 members debuted when they were 17,16,16,16,16,15 and 14) they originally had a graduation concept wherein once the members turns 20 in Korean age they will graduate from the group so in 2018 NCT DREAM became 6 but they became 7 again when SM removed the graduation concept and the one who left(Mark, dreams leader and also a member of 127) came back. Nct dream originally had a graduation system in which when the members turn 20, they will leave the group. When their leader, mark turned 20 in 2018, he left the group. But in 2020, the graduation system was demolished and it was announced that dream would continue to promote as a 7 member group alongside with mark. I think that's why the song graduation for me feels so bittersweet because it reminds me of the past system and makes me feel so greatful that they are able to perform together again. Few of the members even cried whilst performing the song live, i guess the term 'graduation' is just somewhat traumatic for both fans and the members. P/s: the members also have matching friendship rings if you noticed, I just find it so cute and endearing.

Nct is not a company..its one of the sub unit..the company which nct are is SM ENTERTAINMENT..to explain more further,NCT has a total of 20 members with 4 sub units,which are NCT127,NCTDREAM,NCTU,&WAYV NCT127-is compose of 9members NCTDREAM-compose of 7 members they are the younger members of the group.. WAYV-compose of 6members,they are the chinese sub unit,and they are under Label V entertainment in china NCTU-is not a fix unit..coz all the members keeps rotating according to the concept of the song..Taeyong is the leader of the whole sub unit,and in nct127,in nctdream is mark and in wayv is Kun..the two members of Nctdream is also in Nct127 the two guys in both sides. Additional:there is new Nct sub unit thats going to debute this year..Which is called NCT TOKYO,all the members are Japanese..they have 7 members in group. So the total members of NCT would bhe 27 in all..:)

Nct 127, Nct Dream, WayV (their Chinese unit), Nct U and Nct Japan this unit has not debuted yet. I recommend that you guys watch an Nct guide so you won’t be lost. Nct is the group to stan. To make you understand the NCT groups in a short and easy way, read below: Their company: SM Entertainment (one of the TOP 4 entertainment agencies in South Korea) Their group name: NCT (Neo Culture Technology) Total number of members: 27 Their sub-units/group + number of members: NCT U (unlimited members) NCT 127 (10 members) NCT Dream (7 members) WAYV (6 members) NCT Tokyo or NCT 140 (7 members) Group name explanation, it's very short and simple don't worry: NCT U: The U stands for United. This unit has no fixed number of members meaning any member from NCT could be part of a song depending on whether they suit the concept or not. NCT 127: The 127 stands for the longitude of South Korea's capital Seoul. They're a unit mainly focused in Korean market but doesn't limit them from carrying out projects overseas. NCT Dream: They're comprised of SOME of the youngest members of NCT. Their music used to sound more like bubblegum pop but once they started maturing their music sound also started to change. WAYV: They are the Chinese sub-unit of NCT. The reason why they don't have NCT in their name is because of the political tensions of the Chinese and South Korean government. NCT Tokyo or NCT 140: Obviously from the name alone you know where this sub-unit's market is. They haven't debuted yet. Thanks for the reaction 😊😊😊😊 Graduation is meaningful song to NCT dream members & the fans because the word "graduation" was traumatic word for them. Nct dream actually wasn't fix unit. Nct dream was for the younger unit. They were debuted at 14-17 years old back then and have to graduate from dream unit when their age reach 19 years old. Mark ( oldest member, in this video he's stand on far left ) he already graduated from dream in 2018. Fun fact although Mark already graduated, he still join dream's chat group because the boys love him so much. Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, & Jaemin have to graduate from dream in 2020 and left only 2 member in dream Chenle & Jisung. Some members cried hard at the concert because of their unsure future after graduate from dream. They thought it was their last concert with dream member. But because of their bond, chemistry, fans didn't want them to be separated. In 2020 SM ent cancel that graduation system and bring Mark back to Dream. So if you feel that they have good chemistry & they're close, yeah they're that close. They knew each other since Jisung was still at elementary school ( Jisung the youngest tallest member with pink tshirts green hair)

NCT is the whole group with all the units. It was 23 members but 3 left in May of this year and now it’s 20. But they’re adding a Japanese subunit group that is about to debut sometime soon. They have NCT 127 with 9 members, NCT Dream(their younger group) with 7 members(2 of which are also the 2 youngests in NCT 127, and WayV which is their Chinese subunit which doesn’t have NCT in their name. They’re about to debut their Japanese subunit which may be called NCT Tokyo. Not sure the name yet. They have about 1 episode of their debut show left but they already revealed who will be debuting. NCT or NCT 2023 is when all of them come together to make a song or 2. And they also have NCT U which has all the members but they do different combinations of members for their songs. It’s confusing I know. You’ll learn the more you get into them. Lol

NCT as a whole has 26 members. There are 4 soon to be 5 sub-units. NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and soon, NCT Tokyo. Renjun(yellow sweater) and Chenle (the one with maroon-ish hair) are both Chinese. The one with white hair is Jeno. The one with dark blue hair is Jisung. The middle member is Jaemin. They’re called NCT “Dream” because their music is targeted to teens to give them hope to believe that they can make their dreams come true.
