In this video I run through the different set ups I used at 4 different events over the last 4 months. You also get to meet my oversized Beagle :-)

Thanks for the inspo. Im shooting photo and video for my gym during the Open and this helped with my setup. 17-28mm on a gimbal for video, then my 24-70mm for mostly photo and some video for close ups.

Thanks for going in depth about all this! I've been thinking about getting into shooting more events (mainly crossfit for now) and this breakdown really helps. Love all your stuff! Keep at it!

love this, timeless masterclass. Quick Question: can you speak to your shutter angle when covering on the floor up close and personal? Are you at 180 or 90 degrees, what advice do you have along these lines? Thank you brother. Romans 8:28

Bro so great to hear from you! I always keep my shutter at the 180 degree rule regardless of what I’m shooting, 24fps/50 shutter, 60fps/120 shutter, 120fps/240 shutter. Hope that’s what you were asking? Hopefully catch you at the Games this year legend 👊🙏

@@wykieetsebeth thanks so much for this -- I know sometimes a trend with fast action is to over crank the shutter to 90 degrees or even 45 degrees so I wanted to ask the master. Thanks and looking forward to crossing paths again!
