Thanks for asking about the amps, I've been ready to get one since he showed them at NAMM years ago. Doesn't sound like there is much hope though. Oh well. Thanks for the interview!

I was hoping he'd do like EVH did with the Iconic series and make a dumbed down affordable version. If you could price these babies at around a grand, I think you could sell a ton of em.
@doctoribanez3 күн бұрын
He's probably right. Not many people are buying hundred watt amps
@DV8-q6n2 күн бұрын
Very few people need a 100 watt amp. Very few people need a 30 watt amp. Ninety percent of people need no more than 10 watt amps.

This day and age you can have variable power output.
@Am_1Demon3 күн бұрын
Sounds like it’s an unlikely thing now given the digital age, but I’d buy a 20w version if they were to come out with it. I think that’s more affordable and practical for most bedroom guitarist.
@rocketpigrecords37192 күн бұрын
My 2500 was 50w with a half power switch. Best of both worlds.

I’ll special order if I have to. If you don’t want it then don’t buy it…. At least gives us true zakk fans a chance to buy it! The rest of us who missed the Moscow peace fest. Give the guys who love him(zakk) a chance to try to relive that moment

Get a Ceriatone 800 clone dirt cheap. Same amp, well built in Vietnam. The dude at Ceriatone has his business model dialed in tight. Great amps at a great price.
@josephfigueroa35272 күн бұрын
I wouldn't call $1,400 dirt cheap. Bugera had it down with their clone, but soon as Glenn Fricker did his video on that amp, they tripled in price.

I bought my 78 JMP 2203 for 550 bucks back in 98. Looking back at all those heads back then that were dirt cheap. 5150s, 800s, Plexis, etc. If only we had known.

20 years ago I spent my hard earned money on a decent cab and head (peavy xxx). It is sitting next to my desk and hasnt really been played in years. I just picked up a fractal FM3 with some studio monitors and holy shit I can dial in any tone I want now. I still love tube amps but Ill be damned if the fractal is 10x more convenient and sounds just as good.

Make the amp/cab combo, Zakk, and price it accordingly. It's a ONCE IN A LIFETIME purchase.
@francoispoirier15573 күн бұрын
I don't think they will ever sell it, if they do it will be 3500 $ and people will buy used 2203 instead, and like he said a lot of players are using digital now.

A plug-in of what? A JCM 800? Don't those already exist? Why would they pay him for that?

@ for the same reason they paid all the other guitarists for the archetype series which are all based on amps that already exist

The only solution is both. Big tube amps at home for fun. And light weight travel rigs for gigs
@rutger41312 күн бұрын
Big tube amps aren't fun at home, sadly...Owned many, never could dial them up beyond '1', basically. That's just for the sake of my own hearing, not even considering the neighbours yet.
@nickcarrato9309Күн бұрын
I bet the number one reason most people are going with the fractal, quad cortex etc is the cost of shipping that rigs around the world. Im no expert though. I would rather play through heads and cabs as well.

You can push air with modeling setups too. Pushing air refers to a cab and speakers, which you can do with a modeler and power amp into cab. It’s silly to even bring up
@MastersofShredКүн бұрын
Not that silly because many Artists using modelers today don’t have a single cab on stage. They are just going to the house PA speakers. I’m use a kemper and run it thru cabs. Totally different tone and vibe 👍🎸🎸🎸

Rick Beato said something profound worth thinking about. Talking era's 60's/70/80/90 etc Rock n roll, hard rock, grunge, hair band, etc. What exactly is the current era ? Cookie cutter copy cat world artificial intelligence era ? Then I suppose a copy of an amplifier seems appropriate. But let's see what develops from this.
@DV8-q6nКүн бұрын
@@erickaufmancustomguitars1351 Cookie cutter copycat era? That's awful negative. How about the next awesome step forward? I'm sure when we went from orchestration to amplification people were upset, as people will be, but amplification was pretty awesome. We are now in the next golden age of guitar. I have a dozen different tube amps including an Orange Rockerverb, Marshall JCM 800, Soldano SLO 100, MESA Dual Rectifier, Blackstar Series One, and EVH 5150 to name a few. I have boxes of pedals to the point where I use pedals as doorstops in my house. Now, since I bought my Fender TMP, I'm wondering will I ever use any of that stuff again, and the answer is probably not. I get better tones from my TMP than I do from my amps, without any of the problems associated with amps. With modeling, I have access to dozens upon dozens of amplifiers and hundreds of effects. I can create chains of effects without cables and batteries and all the other hassles. Last night, I spent thirty dollars and instantly had access to over one hundred different mic'd speaker cabinet options. Soon, we will be able to create our own amplifiers and effects, so musicians can really create the sound they hear in their heads. It's not cookie cutter copying. It's the next great thing, and it's only going to get better. 😇

@josephfigueroa35272 күн бұрын
He's only made one mistake, believing that guitar players are logical. Most players will never play a gig but still buy at least one stack and multiple heads just to run them through an attenuator. Guitar players live to throw money away so he would have mild success with limited runs. I honestly hope that half and full stacks make a return to live music; just seeing dudes on stage with wireless instruments makes me feel like I'm at a One Direction concert. Amps give stage presence, especially when you get the stage sound in the first few rows.

nobody wants zakks amps or guitars, they are just total junkers. 😂
@henrygvidonas95732 күн бұрын
The entire concept of his brand doesn't make sense. Nobody who isn't a dedicated Zakk fanboy would want something that's completely inseparable from his goofball fake Southern wannabe-viking biker image and public persona. Have you ever seen anybody play a Wylde Audio guitar on a stage, in public? They're the equivalent of the ass-ugly Paul Stanley Washburn and Silvertone signature guitars. Nobody except Stanley ever played any of those in public, they all hang in fat, middle-aged, white men's "Kiss Kaves". Plenty of professional musicians played some of the EVH guitars over the years - because apart from the "Frankenstrat" and Kramer-inspired ones, they don't look too "personalised". And the design doesn't look like something straight from the mind of a "Masters Of The Universe"-obsessed 12-year-old. Why the hell would anybody buy a fugly, overprized, slightly modded JCM 800? Get a real used Marshall and have it converted to 6550s. Or don't - because it makes no difference whatsoever when most of your sound comes out of EMGs into a 9V stomp box, anyway. People who still use 100W tube amps and 4x12 cabs professionally and are willing to eat the transportation costs/hassles for it, would never be seen on stage with something that looks so "personalised" for another player with an extremely "specific" (ahemm...) image.

You should send your resume to Wylde Audio. You know the ins and outs of the market and are clearly in tune with what everyone wants. Hell, you even know exactly what touring professionals want and all the way down to what bedroom guitarist need. You can even give your input into the amp circuit and how they need to be modded. YOU'RE A TRIPLE THREAT asset. They'd be a fool to pass on you. Good luck!
