Finding an affordable and safe hotel is key. We tend to stay 10 - 15 min away to save money also. Helps when we drive everywhere and we have our own car. These tours are helpful. You’re right, daily room service is now a perk. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a nice room, it is small but it makes use of the space well. Having two chairs to sit in is perfect if you want to have a quick bite to eat or a drink in the room. It is so much better than having only the bed.

Nice place with a great value. I like all the extras, the outlets, mini fridge and of course a Keurig. Gotta have that coffee. Nice it offers room service. It looks cozy and clean. I think sometimes I go a little crazy with the resorts/hotels and then I have to remind myself, as long as it is clean and safe, you shouldn't have to pay so much money for a place you will only sleep in. Very nice tour of the Wylie Center & Tupper Manor. So true that if you drive just a very short distance from downtown Salem that there is a big different in prices. Very nice hotel. Yes, we also often choose to a budget friendly hotel as we like to save our money for other fun stuff in town. Since we usually don't spend a lot of time at a hotel it doesn't bother us. Now if we planned on lounging around the hotel (pool and other such things) we might fork over for extra cash for something a little nicer.

That is a huge price difference and sometimes, like also with the hotel in our video this week, it is so worth choosing the better value option. Your room looked very comfortable and certainly had everything you needed. Wow that was a long journey, I find it had to appreciate just how huge the US is! the location sounds just perfect.

It is so quaint and cute. It looks like a house. And I am always a fan of a hotel that has free parking. That is one of my pet peeves. If you're renting a room, the parking spot should go with it. And I hate resort fees although that is just about everywhere now. The room seems perfect, especially when you're going to be out and about most of the time anyways. It seems like a great property for a budget. Plus, I never want to stay in a haunted hotel. lol Awesome video, like 22, thanks for sharing!

Very nice hotel, especially considering it was budget friendly and a short drice from Salem and Boston. Given that this was 1 of many stops on that trip, including Dollywood's new Hearth & Song, budget friendly is the way to. When they are nice like this, that's a solid choice. To be honest, I'd never film some of the places Ginger books for cat shows. One we stayed at recently had a naked guy who randomly attacked some folks in the parking lot. I didn’t see it, but we arrived shortly after it happened and the police were filling out a report. Good one, Ginger! Lol!! 😂😂 Drunks whistling at Ginger as we are loading and unloading no longer bothers me. I just pretend think they are whistling at me, look them, wink and blow a kiss. It shuts them up. 😂😂😂

My birthday is the beginning of September, and I usually like to take a brief trip. It's the perfect time to visit Salem, however I'm nervous about booking affordable hotels in larger cities because I begin to think that it must be in a bad area, or too far away from anything convenient.
