Well, you named one idea: an indoor water park. Also a nice Bingo “parlor” for large crowds like South Point gets. Maybe a very nice movie theater showing older movies. Make a place called “restaurant row” where reservations are not needed… servers can be moved from one restaurant to the other since they will all be connected nearby each other. “Zipline world”. Parachute jump (like Knotts had) but enclosed so no one can fall out or jump. Other rides that other amusement parks had in the past?

The "ticker-tape" part of the NYNY sign is (obviously, IMO) supposed to echo the Times Square ticker. The MGM card is actually very nice to have if you don't have status - no annual fee and you get Pearl status (free garage parking!) as well as access to the VIP line/area at registration. For hardcore card hackers it may not provide enough value to take up an application "slot" but if you stay at MGM properties regularly it's very helpful.

I don't think they should get rid of the ticker, but just upgrade it to a newer color one like we see in many bars now. For example at Durango or Sunset Station. Or even Times Square. I think that little detail is actually kind of cool as are some of the smaller theming details at that property.

Being able to park for free at any MGM Property is great. I wish there was some way to connect Excalibur with Park MGM to essentially link the 2 free trams better. The back T-Mobile Arena walkway isn't that bad, nor cutting through New York, New York isn't terrible, but it could be a lot more accommodating!

I've had an MGM card forever. It's my main spend card. The free parking at any MGM property is nice. I get a couple hundred bucks of freeplay a year with it. Thanks for the show guys.

I would say look at a card like the Citi DoubleCash. No annual fee but you earn 2% cash back on everything which will give you a better return. And you can use the rewards anywhere since it is straight cash back. I would keep the MGM card for the status / perks and then use it when spending money on property for the higher 3% earning. Unless the spend is helping you get to the next level up on status etc. then you could stick with everything on the MGM card. That would be my suggestion at least :)

I got the MGM card in January and received 20,000 points after $1500 in spend. Used $200 in freeplay in April. I used status match from MGM Pearl to Foutainbleau and to Wynn and back to MGM to acheive Gold status for three months. Took care of my Resort fees for the stay.

As a casino player who is patronizing the new Rio ownership, they did a great job putting in all of the popular slot machines on the floor. Their rewards program is stellar for slot players. The table games aspect needs improvement, it is comparable to a strip property in terms of table minimums and odds. The table minimums can be high even during midweek afternoons, then again they have to pay higher minimum wages to dealers these days. They offer triple zero roulette at $15 minimum and double zero roulette at $25 minimum, most people end up settling for the triple zero roulette.

MGM doesn’t seem to give offers based on the play. I’ve played a few sessions @MGM properties hoping they generate offers: 1) $5K coin-in on slots. 2) Another $5K coin-in on slots. 3) 30 min blackjack session on $300 table with $4K cash-in. No offer extended to me yet. I was trying to change from Caesars to MGM but can’t seem to get offers from MGM, but I’m up @MGM in each of these sessions about $4K total.

Yesterday, I viewed Postcards from Earth. It was worth the ticket cost. 🎟 the Bridge from Tropicana was closed. I imagine everyone overwhelmed the resort by that access, maybe not. It's a shame that MSG didn't get their station on the Monorail, it should be built and the Loop maybe open their station also. It's a long walk to it now in incredible heat and it passes overhead several times while you walk to it. The Loop already has big traffic jams. Maybe they can work that out with future designs. Disney uses moving walkways while you board. Several people had wheelchairs. It was a tough night for them. I'm on board for the Wizard of Oz, it should be amazing there.

Dude the Showboat waterpark/arcade has been there over a year. There's also a solid go-kart track. It's called the Raceway at Lucky Snake. The helmets have 4k cameras so you can upload your race. Fastest karts on the boardwalk. The arcade is also advertised as the Largest in the World!

I said it opened in 2023 and I just saw it! My last visit was in 2022 and for some reason it just didn’t hit my radar. The Showboat is so interesting with the removed casino. Hard to believe they stayed in business before Ocean and Hard Rock came into play. My first visit Revel was still closed and Taj Mahal was 2 weeks from closing and there was no one on that end. It’s been nice to see it become a lot more lively.

@@Milestomemories im a nJ resident. i hit up AC when i turned 21 in '02. I just caught the final years of the coin hopper slots with the buckets everywhere before they switched to tito's. Man it was so crowded then, like how Vegas is now. The buses bringing senior citizens in and out daily was unbelievable. Now that's basically done. Sign of the times. Cost of living was a lot less then and seniors had discretionary income. These days, forget it. I was at the Tropicana in '03 when they were doing construction and building "the Quarter" casino and hotel expansion and the parking garage under construction collapsed. It was a rush job and they cut corners. It's an interesting piece of AC history many people forget. Several construction workers unfortunately died. I haven't been to the Trop lately since it's a Caesars property now, i'm an MGM loyalist, but it's completely a different casino floor compared to 20 years ago. Believe it or not, the Trop used to be amazing for video poker, they actually had a separate room just for it. Honestly I really only go to the Borgata and occasionally Harrah's since they're next to each other. The Borgata is a little tired, not bad, but not that great either. It's fine to gain comps for Vegas vacations.

I definitely would go see older films reformatted to be shown at Sphere! I remember back in the 2000s when older films were reformatted and shown at IMAX theaters. I won't go see Wizard of Oz but I hope to see some of Nolan's films like The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar and Dunkirk be shown there soon. Also, the recent Dune will films will look awesome on that screen.

If any Strip resort is in a financially and brand-wise solid position to expand, it's DEFINITELY Wynn. 🙂 I get oversaturation and, thus, dilution of the original brand is always a genuine concern when expanding..............but in my opinion it makes a lot of sense for Wynn considering foot traffic is always quite robust there and also solid at Encore: which clearly indicates there's room to grow. 😊 I'm still kind of racking my brain envisioning how Wynn West should distinguish itself from Wynn and Encore while still feeling part of a unified front with those existing resorts. I have not the slightest doubt they'll recruit the finest architects and visionaries to pull whatever they come up with off, though, so I'm like a kid in a candy shop over this announcement, ahhhhhhhhhh! 😍🥰

I’m guessing that would be the case, but I suppose each of their properties and casinos does have somewhat of a different theme within the Wynn aesthetic.

Maybe the eventual third resort can play on earthy tones more: like maybe what Park MGM was trying to go for with urban gardens but wound up being an underwhelming mixed bag in execution.

The Sphere could show many old movies that fit the Sphere theme or are larger than life movies like: Gone with the Wind, Sound of Music, Soylent Green, Fiddler on the Roof, Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Xanadu, the Blues Brothers, Star Wars movies, Blade Runner, Brazil, Brainstorm, Tron, Pulp Fiction, Forest Gump, Vegas Vacation, Across the Universe, Avengers Infinity Wars, Avengers endgame, Antman & Wasp: Quantumania, Dunkirk, and Everything Everywhere All At Once. There are lots more to add I’m sure.

problem in Vegas is that managers and high executives that mess up with their properties (like Caesars with Rio) they get fired but they find new job right away and continue to do wrong things. even if they do something very wrong and bad (example CEOs for casino operations) they dont have any problem to get same position in another company.

I would be afraid to sign up for a MGM credit card, giving some kid hacked their system, I stayed at the Rio on July 4th the room was beautiful, the casino still needs work, but it's coming along, my stay was comped for 2 nights, resort fee included, so everybody check your offers online. and there are also rumors the showboat in ac is considering bringing a casino back, they weren't allowed to operate a casino for a 10 year period as a agreement with Caesar's when it was sold. I really loved the showboat casino back in the day!

You want to know why there's no water park in Vegas? Because there's no WATER in Vegas! Imagine the literally millions of gallons of water necessary to sustain an entire park. Where do you think that water's gonna come from? Hotels already have to put in their own water filtration systems to recycle the water they use - precisely because they don't have to draw more. Pretty sure nobody in NV is ever gonna get a permit for something as nutty as a water park. And Atlantic City has one because they have this thing called the Atlantic Ocean right next to the town. Plus they get a healthy amount of rain every year. Unlike the Mojave desert. You guys couldn't figure that out?
