One of the most underrated and amazing voices ever in country music. This performance was at the height of her vocal prowess and vulnerability. She conveyed through voice and emotion the heartbreak of it's lyrics and had every audience member in her hands. One of the most amazing live performances by any female artist ever recorded.

in 1993/94, I was in the painful process of divorcing a woman I did not want to say goodbye to. This song was one of the most popular on the radio and it basically became my anthem. Our oldest son was married a few months ago and after not seeing her for almost 6 years I can honestly say it is not over yet. I still get a lump in my throat when I think of her and have yet to find anyone who moved me as she did.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what it feels like when you're forced to say goodbye to someone you can't live without. "There's no easy way to get through goodbye". After all the years that have passed, this song still stops me dead in my tracks AND I still love her as much now as I did back then. It's been 20 years.

Same here. Every time I hear this song it reminds of the moment when I knew my first marriage was coming to an end. I had just dropped my wife off in North Carolina. She was starting a new job there and the plan was for me to join her in a few months. However, things had been bad for a while and I knew as I pulled away that it was never going to work out. Just started crying my eyes out right there in the driveway. Every time I hear this song it brings me right back to that moment. It's been many years, and thankfully I found a good woman and moved on with my life (though it took some time). Still, this song gets to me.

@Mark Hall: Achingly articulated. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tribute ❤️ Years ago I went through a crushing divorce. I played this song over & over in my car, volume loud as loud as it would go as I tried to drown out the pain. Those were difficult days. It’s a rare gift when words and music can evoke such emotion as the memories from long ago come rushing back to the present. You remember what it was to be in that moment, heart aching, hurt and alone. I suspect I’m not the only one who feels this way about this song and Wy’s music. It was Wy’s first solo album that got me through that awful time. I survived my divorce and learned how to be stronger because of it. I will forever be grateful to Wy for seeing me though that time. “Only Love” Wy, “Only Love” ❤️ Thank you Mark for posting such a heartbroken but beautiful message. It brought it all back… the sweetness and the pain. I’m grateful 💓

I connect with this song in so many ways. Our son passed away late June while I (his momma) was in ICU on life support. I know now that I wasn't allowed to be there because I would have been on my knees begging him to keep fighting and begging God to please allow him to stay. I am dying inside every single day without my son. To wake up to this news was more than my heart can take. I love you Justen and momma always will. You were strong and endured more than anyone I have ever seen in your short 20 years of life. We will be together again baby, I promise. Love always, Momma
