When I heard that flute lick for the first time, I had to stop what I was doing because my mind just went: "What in the actual f*** was that..." Seeing the smile and appreciation of Wynton as it happened makes it all so much better. Just imagine for a moment the combined talent on that stage, so many tens of thousands of hours of hard practice, passion and pure dedication to make these moments as good as they can be. What a gift, we should be grateful.

I heard this like one and a half years ago while on youtube. I liked it so much I put it in a special playlist I only put music that really reaches to me. Without even realizing it until now, it hit me that my jazz band is playing this same piece that I put into my playlist long ago. I fell in love with a different arrangement of the same piece but still loved the simplistic melody both of the "first times" I heard it. Music is great.
