I have done a few Osage bowls, over time it will turn a bronze brown. It's nice to have a friend who doesn't like Osage... cuts them down and gives the wood to me.

I really like how the lines of the grain rise and fall as the bowl is turned around

my favorite wood to turn, I have some in the chuck right now, thanks Sam.

Very pretty bowl. I learned some techniques while watching this video. It looks like you had some end grain tearout on the outside after you finished using the scraper (see video at 12:30).

I have to respond like everyone else so far. It's a beautiful bowl. Nice rim and bottom detail. Very pretty shape. The grain is really nice, as is the color. Your production is pretty good too, although I prefer no music. I would rather hear the workshop sounds. Thank you for sharing Sam. Have a great day and stay safe. 🙂🙂

OK, I think hearing the workshop sounds makes a lot of sense over putting music in the video. I will keep that in mind in the future thanks, Sam.

👍 on everything but the music.

I do a lot of voices in my videos. But sometimes there isn’t much to say about what is being shown. So I may add a little music. Really don’t know why people hate the music, but that’s the comment I usually get. So I use the music very sparingly. Thanks for your comment Sam

How are you keeping your Osage from splitting after you get your piece finished? I have reoccurring problems with this
@jonlanier_Ай бұрын
Once you have cut out the pith and it is dry, it should not split. I twice turn Osage with no problems.
