Thanks for posting this video. We got our MGT on Friday and I was confused why the USB-C port didn’t charge anything. We also found that the wireless charging feature was super finicky-there is just too much leather between charging surface and phone. I agree there was a huge missed opportunity in design process around being able to show charge capacity. We are going to keep ours but we definitely were less impressed than we expected to be.

First off, I really appreciate these videos and can't wait til I get my table! I'm an August backer and they just locked the backer kit/charged us this last weekend. Secondly, your iPhone photo app can edit the video orientation if you go in to the photos app to edit the video and select the icon that looks like two overlapping 90 degree angles with arrows rotating around it, then select the square with arrow rotating counter-clockwise and hit that til its the orientation you want. I have to do this all the time on my phone because its so touchy with detecting landscape/portrait orientation.

I think they tried the tech accessories but I doubt they will be doing many of them again. To me it would be better to have some generic shelf with a hollowed out interior (and some generic cutouts on the side) that I could put my own wireless charger (or even a power pack) into. Then it could be used for other things as well. Besides like EVENTUALLY it will break/become obsolete. With tech that happens way faster than say a cupholder.

I dig their products but this seems like a huge miss. I get the ease of using a pre bought device but this could've been made to look and function better by taking a different unit and removing the shell. That way you could extend the lights to the edge of the tray. Thanks for shinning light on this. Hopefully they take notes and make improvements!

Ya.. I got 2 of them because I thought they would fix an issue I had with my previous table being that I used an external charger for two of my regular items (bt speaker and iPad). When I found out the USB-c didn't charge things I was really upset and these things are expensive. I'm wondering what they are going to do with MTG 2.0 launching in a later this year, because they make a battery pack 2.0 that holds more charge, better designed and the charger actually allows for multiple charging I will be pretty annoyed.

Remember you can always craftsman promise any accessory No questions asked and they will even pay for shipping back at any time. If they fix this issue in a 2.0 I won’t be bashful to reach out to them and still am on the fence about this accessory.

What were the issues with the card shelf?

They turned so easily they were easy to accidentally bump, several people reported they were scratching their table from digging into the rail (WW told people they need to just realign the shelf to flush as they likely got bent a little), also the cards angle inward in a way that is awkward and hard to read. For how expensive they were it just didn’t make sense to keep the one I bought.

@@ThePercOfGaming This is a bit disappointing to hear. I was planing to order 6 card shelves. In their virtual showroom video it shows that the cards can angle towards you (they floped forward as he put it on the table) but then they leaned backwards after fixed. So in your experiance the clip they are showing in the showroom is not true to the delivered design? What happens if you want to return an accessory (credit, money back, do they take out a fee)?

@@fubarbox depends on the card size probably due to the angle the cards go in. Been over a month I haven’t had mine so I’m going off memory but I remember them flopping forward or being vertical (no leaning away from you). Their return policy is great and I took the money back in full on a gift card. If you asked for it back on your credit card they might charge you the 10% fee they are charging for cancelling tables, I’m not sure. Might be worth asking them directly since their policy has changed a bit over the past few months on refunds involving anything with kickstarters.
