Note, the scratches on the acrylic are on the coating to protect the acrylic. I have not removed them yet.

Hi Steve, I hope you see my comment. My friends and I have been board gaming intensely the last 2-3 years and I am a new homeowner, looking to add wood furniture to my house including a board gaming + dining table combination such as the Wrymwood Modular Table. Price aside, the table has been looking fantastic in pictures but haven't seen too many video reviews except for yours and some change and wanted to get your opinion. 5 months down the road (since this video was uploaded) + the price you spent, has this table been worth it? Any quality related issues like wobblely things or did any wood come in scratched? How long did you have to wait from the time you ordered to the time it hit your doorstep? I'm almost over the fence to picking up the long-6 table such as yours but I'm looking for views and answers to my questions before I spend since it is quite the price.

Hello YonexCC, After 5 months I would say this table is absolutely worth it. I purchased the maple because it's a cool looking wood and based on the price. It's not the table that's expensive, it's the accessories :D I spent way more on them than the table. If I didn't already have a lovely dining room table, I would have bought black walnut (my favorite wood), but since I don't need another heirloom table, I saved money by choosing maple. The quality of the table is great, no wobbles or stability issues. I have slide the table, lifted it and moved it many times since then and it's still rock solid. The coating on the top of the table is stellar, we have played dominos on the topper and with all the mixing there are no scratches or issues. I did damage it "slightly" with a knife that was totally my own fault, but it's barely noticeable. If I recall, I ordered my table in April 2023 (it was part of the kickstarter campaign). Things worked very different with Kickstarter. Now, you can order direct from the web site and they have 4 woods that can ship in a week. I am not sure how long orders are for the other woods, but definitely, you will not have to wait as long as the kickstarter people. I would recommend you get the table that fits in your space. I have just moved the table into its permanent space and will doing a follow up video in the future. Depending on where you are, you can go to PaxEast or GenCon. Wyrmwood is vending at both of them. I may go to GenCon to look at chairs. That's next on my list to purchase.

@@sync-sync-reboot Appreciate the reply! I think I am now for certain to pick up their modular table. The price of their accessories are my biggest gripe, but then again, why purchase such a pricey main piece but not buy any of the near-necessary accessories. I'll more than likely pick up 4 cup holders, the dice holder, and the topper box regardless. I sent them an email regarding their Ready To Ship modular tables (the color and size I have are in stock) and they said shipping times is around 2 weeks which is nowhere near as bad as when I heard about kickstarter backers waited a year +. The downside of now buying these in stock tables is the VERY pretty penny. The table I'm looking at is around $3100 and the accessories are about another grand. I was tempted to get their chairs, but I browsed many furniture stores and there are plenty with nice, wooden chairs that are half the price and still good quality. Now, if their chairs had their signature WW initials or the full name, I would for sure pick them up but they don't unfortunately lol.

@@YonexCC I can give you some personal experience on a few things. My advice, your mileage may vary. For the cup holders, the small are basically too small for anything other than cans. All my drink ware won't fit, so having larger holders might be better. If you are playing D&D and most people bring laptops, the player desks are a must if you remove your toppers (why would you not?). If you have tablets, then the hobby shelves work well. Although, I saw a Wyrmlife they are planning to make a tablet holder. I would definitely get them when they are available. I am waiting on the new corner dice trays, as I heard the original ones don't allow you to put the toppers on with them in. The topper block is a good idea, but the implementation missed a few marks. 1) the insert is too tight, it's near impossible to remove the topper with one hand. I have to put a foot on the block to remove the toppers. I am hoping over time it will loosen up. 2) The topper block cover looks horrible and didn't come with leather. I would definitely skip the cover. It's useful as a dice tray, but I plan to keep that hidden when not in use. You will definitely enjoy your purchase.

@@sync-sync-reboot Thank you again for another detailed reply! I am definitely going for the large cup holders. My friends and I don't play any big role play BGs like D&D and all the BGs we finish the same night so I'm not worried about leaving things inside and having to put the topper on. Also I appreciate the notes on the topper block. It's quite pricey if I have to gripe, but it's definitely a must have. I would not have any place to put the toppers while we play unless it would be leaning against the wall.
