We live in a 140 year log house, and always looking for ideas to update. I love what you did to update your kitchen. In the next couple of years I would love to open up the upstairs again, and put an addition on, maybe put some garden doors off the living room, maybe a sunroom so all my plants can go out there. I have so many ideas.

I love it. It turned out beautiful. I love using old things that have memories or meaning. We live in west central Iowa in a house that use to be on a farm place west of town. They brought it into town in the '50's. We've spent years updating here and there.

Your links for things is amazing. I desperately need rotting window sills fixed but I dont want modern looking windows. Wow. That is my dream kitchen. It reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen in England. It was a little country house in a village called Bricketwood. The kitchen opened onto my grandfathers prized rose garden. I miss my grandparents, their cottage and England. I live in Canada now. My kitchen is almost exactly like your old kitchen including backsplash, white cabinets, and placement of appliances. Our kitchen's side-by-side are unbelievably similar! And now I want that again, LOL. Your space is amazing! Down to the details of the inset door knobs, just wow!
