A dream kitchen for our French farmhouse

Bonjour!
It is here!! THE kitchen reveal video that we've all been waiting for :)
After three years of hard work the kitchen is (almost) finished! We still need to install doors and there are a couple of other details but I wanted to make this video for you this week as we'll have family visiting in the coming weeks and I won't be able to shoot the reveal video!
The paint we used is by "Ressource" and is called "Hêtre savonné", from the HEJU collection.
The cabinets are IKEA and my husband tailored them to make the kitchen look more authentic
The pendants over the kitchen island are IKEA and the ones over the countertops are from a small online shop here in France that I love called Happy Home: happyhome.bigc...
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment. I'd be happy to share any details I may have forgotten to share in the video... such as the fridge and freezer being in the pantry and not the kitchen itself...
But I guess this won't be the last video I shot in this kitchen!

I totally agree with all of your kitchen choices - window above the sink, two levers on the sink (one for hot and one for cold), stove that allows you to cook like it's a wood stove. And arrange things according to how you really live. I'm so glad you finally have your "better than I dreamt of" kitchen!

Beautiful and it really shows your style. I have a container home, and have a very similar kitchen style. I love collecting vintage pieces and mixing it up with clean, new edges. Funnily i have a basket, just by the side of the door that hangs. Its the perfect spot to throw in our keys!!!

It's common sense that nobody needs to be looking out the window when preparing food, unless of course you want to be bleeding from cutting up your fingers...I don't know why these people who call themselves "designers" and don't really know their ass from their elbow are out there telling others how to design...I totally feel your space, especially if you've been living in it while renovating, the house will speak to you in the form of light at different hours of the day & the light at different times of the year, plus the views from the different windows will tell you what to place there and if you listen to yourself as well...the result is a place like yours, just lovely, functional and very welcoming...I don't think I can write here what I really think of most of these "designers"

The only thing that matters is that you and your family love it and it's obvious that you do! I am so happy for you to have finished this stage of your renovations. I have to say that you really surprised me. I was expecting a warm kitchen rather than a sterile look (nothing wrong with that though). Most surprising is pink cabinets since the color is known to be an appetite killer for many people. I guess you were limited due to colors in the floor tiles (which you didn't really show much). You have some beautiful elements there---the cooker, sink, window, marble countertops, spaciousness, the salvaged windows for doors. I can see that you are enjoying it already. And yes, your husband is very talented!

I like neutrals. I love colors in other people’s homes but always seem to gravitate to lighter tones and more airy spaces when I create spaces for ourselves! My kitchen gets very busy and full when I’m cooking so I need a simple and clean background to stay focused 😂
