Picked a good yan to get out marra. The spot i came across was by a wall next to the treeline, enough flat space to provide shelter so deffo gonna camp there. Just want more of the same. Gonna do a few outlying fells on walks this year weather permitting.atb Mark

Hey Mark I enjoyed this hike through here with Penny and your friend. Beautiful area with the hills and that lake. And we ate the same as you by the sound of it, waiting for the nicer weather to camp. Found you by accident when I was trying to find another channel called Mariz and mistyped it and ended up here. hard a lot about the Pheasant Inn, never been but may have to now to see what the revamp is like. You got a canny day for it mind, we need more days like this! cheers Alan

Cheers Alan, the group that bought it are North East based i think, they have also purchased a couple of inns in Ambleside too so check them out when you get round...also dont forget to get on the Orient Express round the corner too..Im hoping its the start of spring now after that walk now...touch wood..,atb Mark
