This is the exact doorbell camera I’ve been waiting for Wyze to make and am actually very happy with my purchase. It replaces a wireless Ring Doorbell Video 3 for me which only has 1080p video resolution. The 2k video resolution here on the top camera is nice and has a great wide view that it’s fisheye like Ring’s. The bottom camera is still 1080p but since it’s mainly for packages, I guess it’s okay. The VOIP feature seems cool and I may consider enabling it but will see. The main reason why I was waiting on this one is for the dual camera but even more important for me is a replaceable battery which their previous wireless one didn’t have a user replaceable one that easily swaps out. I got an extra battery pack and can swap it out in a minute vs. having to take if off to charge and be offline for a few hours. Since I have a number of Wyze cameras and subscribe to Wyze Cam Unlimited, I can also stop my Ring Annual subscription too and save a little bit of money so it’s a win-win in my opinion. Nice review though. You’re one of the first to post on this.

I contemplated upgrading from the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro to the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell, but I changed my mind after watching your review... Good job on the review BTW. My reasoning not to was two fold of sorts... 1. The Duo's increased size. 2. The fact my Pro already has a great view of our mailbox and landing where our packages are dropped off. And I do agree on your assessment that the Duo does look somewhat less premium than the Pro.

Thank you for this review video ! It says this battery is suppose to last 6 months. I have to charge my Ring like every week !

Then this should be a perfect solution! I never had my doorbell pro on battery, but my Wyze cam outdoor has proven that their 6 month claim is accurate. Thanks!

@ChrisB-Truth It's a Galaxy Z Flip 3, and I purchased it used on eBay a few years ago. The line on the screen appears only while in low power mode for me, and while using the AOD. If you ordered a Samsung one, they also offer a $200 (for the fold 6 at least) screen replacement within the first year.

Nice! Does it still have the chin like the first generation new one? If I recall correctly, it was like this when I bought it; it has not worsened since.

@@GreezyGoblin No, they have come a long way from that madel. You should check them out, I think you would like the upgrades. Three years later it's still working, that's pretty damn good.

Does Alexa automatically go live view when doorbell is activated? Does Alexa allow 2way audio?

While I'm not sure about Alexa speakers/displays, on my Google Nest hub which I have the doorbell connected to, it does not automatically start the stream when the doorbell is pressed, no; and there is no 2 way audio through smart speakers as far as I know. Thanks!

@@AZa-i1x yes! It is pretty good. For the best value though I still would recommend the Wyze doorbell V2; although there are several improvements with this iteration, but also some drawbacks compared the the doorbell pro.

There's no special key to lock the doorbell to the mounting plate? Can't anyone just take it off the wall this way?

No, there is not. It is removable with something like a paper clip or toothpick. If this is a concern, I'd recommend going with the Doorbell PRO instead, which I believe does have a torx screw on the underside.

@@GreezyGoblin Yeah, I'm debating between the two and the torx lock (not like someone cant buy a torx key anyway) and the fact that I read the software for the Duo is killing batteries in a matter of days, might make me save $40 and get the Pro instead

@dorondavid4698 very good point! I haven't heard of that or experienced it, since I only have it wired; but maybe I should conduct a test of this. Thanks! Overall I think the pro is mostly better anyways.

I have done a video of the Pro, yes. I'm meaning to conduct a test of the Battery on this new one to see if I experience the same issue. Thanks for letting me know!
