Didnt mention the 5min cool down between event pictures or no video events, only pics, unless you continuously record when you don't have cam plus.

Could you theoretically attach the USB cable to a power bank instead of the wall outlet brick and have it work that way so it's not confined to a wall? You can make it mobile.

I bought a solar panel for the cam on my shed. Works great. Amazon has it all.

The sd option is fine but if your using it outside and lets say your camera and the sd card gets stolen then your footage is gone a local server would be great

I do not recommend Wyze cameras, do not be fooled, when you buy this camera you have to pay a monthly fee, because if you do not pay monthly, it will only take photos. especially the Wyze V4.

@@jasminepirtle606 I’ve been talking to their Tech Support. WYZE told me that you do not have to pay a monthly fee if you use an SD card. You can still have playback of events recorded through the SD card, by clicking on the button. However, it will not differentiate between person, sound, vehicle or pet. It will say something like, “motion.” I’ve ordered my WZE version 4 so we shall see! One issue I have is that no one at WYZE can agree whether or not you can mix version 3 and version 4 if you have the monthly cam plus plan. Two say you can and the other two say that you have to elevate to the unlimited plan if you’re going to mix and match camera versions.
