i just finished watching it four weeks ago and it's a great anime! 🙏 don't wanna spoil it if you haven't watched it yet. it's not easy to watch tho as it has some pretty dark content, if those things make you feel uncomfortable, so just a little warning~ otherwise have fun 😊

X wouldn't really be considered that--mostly due to the fact that it focuses more on the apocalyptic and supernatural elements than on the romances within it. However, there is a lot of queer imagery between protagonist and antagonist (the manga creators cite the Devilman manga as a big influence on this work). Additionally, the anime does prominently feature characters and a relationship* from Tokyo Babylon (another CLAMP property which is decidedly shounen ai). TL;DR - CLAMP doesn't always explicitly focus on the queer relationships within their works, but there's almost always something mlm or wlw going on in there.
