X-23 (Laura Kinney) is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. She was originally created by writer Craig Kyle for the X-Men: Evolution television series before debuting in the NYX comic series in 2004. Since then she has headlined two six-issue miniseries written by Kyle and Yost, a one-shot and self-titled series written by Marjorie Liu, and All-New Wolverine by Tom Taylor.

X-23 is fine but at the end of the day Wolverine is one of the big faces of marvel. Be it crossover games or movies or comics, you will see LOGAN as Wolverine. Cause he made that role. Hell, X-23 has to find her own Sabertooth or Hulk to fight or else things will get boring quick. And Logan was close to one of my favorite hero's and that is Peter Parker. 9_Bucks Wolverine is my favorite hero so I'm kinda mad the only thing I get is a crappy old man. I can see Logan saying something all the lines of "don't be like me because I'm a murderer" to his daughter/sister/clone, but the fact that he does so just shows X-23 won't appeal to people that liked Wolverine. We like the fact that he was a short Canadian man who wasn't afraid to kill people. We, or at least I, don't want to see him taken out of the equation by his clone who shares nothing in common aside from his claws and costume(which she makes look so lame).

I like the Four Sisters. A big part of that is because I think Marvel's struggling with figuring out how exactly to tell stories about mutants right now, and this seems to point to a lot of good ways that they might move forward in that arena.

Sarafan Dumah if you're unfamiliar with her character she was trained at birth in hand to have martial arts alongside with being tortured half to death death to trigger her healing factor and to eliminate fear death. she's had hand on assassination raining since she was like eight. The thing about Logan was he was over 213 years old he had a little bit of training in everything

I don't mind changing characters, and this story is a good example of doing it right. The passing of the torch is a great way to change a character's Gender/Race/ whatever. It's when they abruptly change things without also appealing to the original fans that piss me off, fortunately that's not the case here in my opinion. Laura Kinney is an awesome character with a good back story, I liked this story a lot, also the artwork is great. She's drawn so hot.

I would say Laura even replaced Logan as wolverine it's not even like he really died, (he just got old and grumpy) she is more her own kind of wolverine. But i can name at few others from marvel alone that have done it well. Robbie Reyes as a new ghost riders ( he has his uncle a pycopathic , satin worshiping contract killer, ghost as the spirit that he's contacted to) Kate bishop as Hawkeye whom is petty much clints equal. They share the title. Kalamal Khan did replac Carol as ms marvel. Nidia Pym like Kate bishop shares the title of wasp with Janet. Moon girl replaced a super opsucre character called moon boy. Whom no one chares about as he hasn't being recent since like the 90tes early 2000eds. And lest we forget Carol love or hate her ( or like me are completely indifferent) also replaced mar-vel another hero no one chares about. Or scout Lang replacing hank Pym as ant man I think marvels problem was there where to many art at the same time. Characters changing names and titles or taking up the mantle of some one else is nothing new marvel and dc have being doing this shit forever. The changers only stick when there is good consist righting and people gravate to the change

I actually really loved this first Volume when reading this (I bought at a Barnes and Noble). To be fair, I do love X-23 as a character from Evolution and the subsequent comics. And I like how Taylor is trying to separate her from Wolverine in that she doesn't kill when necessary and the idea of Clones, very much representing X-23's history. But I also understand why so many fans of Wolverine, Logan, are irritated. I do like Wolverine. I think he's a bit overrated, but a good character. So personally, him bowing out and Laura taking the mantle, works. Though, it doesn't help this is really just a response from Marvel in wanting to choke Fox of any future X-men material. Argh.

Do you think with the James Howlett Wolverine the writers have gone back and forth between him being analytical and thinking things through (Like, wasn't he a ninja at one point and has done a number of recon infiltrations and ran his own school of x-men) and him acting on instinct and anger? Cause Wolverine has had some very profound strategy and tactics when fighting sometimes incorporating his healing factor, I mean he was like 250+ years old, that's a shit ton of experience. I'm thinking yea, he popped his claws and went into a frenzy but all of his EXPERIENCE is what I believe made him truly formidable. So Laura might have all of his capabilities but I think it would still be a while before she becomes as formidable as wolverine because of his 250 yrs of experience. So she still has to make up for all of that meaning she won't be as good as Wolverine at least after some significant experience, maybe not 250 years but a significant amount. Lastly, this story and her responses to attackers don't sound too different from some Wolverine stories I read y'know? Like I said, with Wolverine they often went back and forth between him just popping claws and going berserk on a situation. And stealthily infiltrating a building or acquiring information before a fight. It always seemed like popping his claws and going berserk were results of stressors or like a limit to his stress when he got too angry.

Question; Couldn't they cut the ground beneath Wolverine and have someone with super strength pull him out of the adamantium casing? I mean, even if the metal had welded onto his skin, with super strength they could just rip him out of there, and his healing factor will take care of the skin that was ripped off, then boom, Wolverine is back.

I still don't see how Wolverine (Logan/James Howlett) is "trapped" in the Adamantium. There are multiple instances where Wolverine phased through Kitty Pryde (scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/59488/what-materials-can-kitty-pryde-not-phase-through-can-she-phase-through-adamanti). She has also phased Colossus through an imprisonment underground, as well as a Giant Bullet through the Earth in Joss Whedon's run of Astonishing X-Men. There is no reason she couldn't Phase Wolverine out of the Adamantium Encasement he's currently in. I believe X-23 is here as the new Wolverine, because Marvel realizes that Logan has done it all. Fought every villain, been ripped in half, beheaded, Adamantium removed, Adamantium replaced, etc. And they just don't know what else to do with a character that has been around in Marvel Comics since 1974. But, as with Amadeus Cho Hulk, X-23 Wolverine, Riri Williams Iron Man, and Jane Foster Thor; Marvel needs to come up with brand new fresh characters, instead of throwing established costumes on new people. Removing beloved characters and shoe-horning new people into their roles is a cheap move. I'm sure these new stories will be great. But we need fresh, original content with fresh, original ideas. Rant Concluded.

Weapon x wolverine was meant to be able to solo a SUPER and clear out a military base. X-23 wolverine is was meant to take out any one target, anywhere.
