My favorite X song. Dave Alvin is a huge talent.
@richardseegman8032 ай бұрын
Too bad Dave Alvin was not the X lead guitarist for all of their career. He can really play. I always thought Billy Zoom was the weak point of the band. His playing was so simplistic. That's why "See How We Are' is such a great album. Dave Alvin and Tony Gulkyson playing great guitar. No Billy.

I only saw X one time. . in Atlanta as a long defunct club called the Harvest Moon. On that night, they did FIVE encores. I recall John saying. . "we knew that somewhere on the tour, we'd play EVERY song that we know. Tonight. .this was it.". Needless to say, that show rocked like few others. Music like this just isn't made anymore. An LA legendary band.
@JackTorse-b1g2 ай бұрын
My sister was a diehard fan of theirs, when she played them the entire house heard them. We grew up in OC, about a half hour drive to the LA clubs. She saw them many times. I miss this stuff, and I was only a second hand listener.

They actually had this in the Sapronos sound track for real?.John Doe is also a actor and has many rolls like in Law &Order. He was also was George Straights drummer friend in the movie Pure Country. He was originally from the Maryland state and moved to L.A. where he met Exzean and formed the band X. There are some videos about a roadie setting a couch on fire after a gig and other stuff.
