Lost my best friend and combat partner this year due to a brain tumor, we used to listen to this as kids and talk about days when we could prove ourselves as men of a new age, compassionate yet ready at a moments notice if the need called for violence. Wise yet able to learn from those old and young, to my dear brother, my left hand, I will continue to listen to this song well into my golden years, carrying your will with me the entire time, two boys, two renegades, two souls of the same kind. Rest easy Lance Corporal Rodney Glasser. I got it from here

I discovered this song when I moved towns due to devastating and life threatening circumstances. It's been 3 years since I've left my hometown and a lot has happened, good and bad. However every time I find myself re discovering this song it takes me down a road of nostalgia. It reminds me to never stop chasing my dreams and when you find yourself giving up just remember every tear you've shed, every fear you've felt, every anger and distress you have ever felt that has led up to this moment and remind yourself you will feel those feelings a million times over but never give up no matter how many punches life throws at you. Love from me x

This song reminds me of dancing through summers, not a care or a worry in our heads, flip flops, bikes, and pools all a daily part of life, when your only worries were storms that may ruin your plans and what game to play next. When you could get lost in the warm summer woods, dive into deep blue pools, and sit for hours on rocks warmed by the sunshine. It was always on on the radio, and it will forever live rent free in my heart

This song defined the late 2000’s - early 2010’s. For many people the nostalgia is real; walking around during the beginning of summer. School is out, and the only care in the world is what you’re going to do the following day. You walk around the lightly urbanized neighborhood in the late evening, warm and breezy like you’re on the beach. The streetlights you follow illuminate the aged and tarred roads. After you tired of venturing through your neighborhood, you sit on a street corner curb and lay on the grass, staring at the stars. Anxieties and responsibilities melt away into ecstasy, as you look up at the orange-starry sky. This is childhood

I was aboard a 70 foot sailboat damaged by a sudden storm. We were two days out at sea with busted rigging. After fighting the strom for 10 hours we were exhausted. I was given permission to go below and get some sleep. The storm was still rocking the boat hard in every direction. I crawled into my bunk, turned on my Satelite radio and this song came on. It was the first time hearing it, I loved it. Everytime I hear this song, In my mind, I am back on that boat rocking and rolling, pitching up and down with danger in all directions just feet away from me. I slept like a baby, this song is time travel for me. Welcome aboard mates, all is well.

@@alejandrorivas4585 Hoy, I grew up on the east coast near boat yards. I would volunteer to help people work on their boats. After they get to know you and you get to know them they would ask me if I wanted to sail we with them to wherever they were going. When I got old enough, I started going! It wasn't a full time job, I worked with Federal Express and I would transfer to diffrent Costal towns, ( in Florida.) From there I would find a nice sailboat hauled out of the water and volunteer to work on it for free. The owners LOVE free experienced help. They do NOT want to lose you. Now you travel on a nice Yacht, they pay for everything and have a good time. So long as you keep your job with Federal Express, you will be just fine. Get a job with Federal Express. I am now employed as a Nautical museum curator and I build model ships for a living, full time, for the past 30 years! Get a job with Federal Express, transfer to a Coatal town, Ft. Then transfer to the East Coast of Florida, from Melbourne south. Find some boat yards and help some one working on their boat and volunteer to help them. That's the fastest way to learn about Yachts. Eventually you will find a nice yacht that needs crew. Meanwhile you have a nice job with Federal Express. I hope this answer gets to you.

I am 52 years old. I have been to over 500+ concerts in my life and have seen just about everybody in the last 35 years. I went to see their opening act, had no interest in X-Ambassadors, but decided to stick around. HOLY F%CK THEY ARE THEY GOOD LIVE! Only time I have ever had to pick up my jaw off the floor at a concert. As people pointed out the energy they radiate is palatable. I honestly don't know if I have seen a better showman for a band. Sam Harris IMHO is on the same level as Freddie Mercury. Absolutely amazing and no question I am going to see them again at any cost when they come back around.

This feels like the song that you'd listen to when the decade ends, while during the entire decade you have grown into a child, Adult, Senior, whatever. Don't know why. It just does...maybe the lyrics is why. I mean, just listen. The first line: "Run away with me" can be a message to very early 2010's people that, even if they''re official adults, They're still young. They've got new paths to take and a new journey to venture through. It's almost the same with teens, everything is a new journey to their once fragile minded lives. And that's where the phrase "Lost souls in revelry" Comes in. Those lost souls were your child selves. You've grown. But you aren't done yet. That one phrase is a message to the new adolescents of the coming decade. "Running Wild, Running Free.". That means that for those new stages you're in, the soul of your previous stage still lies within you! "Two kids, you and me", another adolescent message, but for best friends to know if they still are. To look back on your best moments of the ten years you were there together. Bonding. Then there's the chorus. It speaks for everyone. You're living the life with the new abilities you can use to your advantage. The next Phrase is to those who hadn't lived to survive the decade through. "Long live the pioneers, rebels and mutineers". "Go fourth and have no fear" means that they went on through the best they can, never aware of when death will strike, so they just went without fear. Come close, lend an ear" Is usually a phrase meaning a story is about to be told, Those who lived the decade will be told stories and traditions of they're once alive relatives possibly. Then there's the phrase: "All hail the Underdogs, all hail the new kids, all hail the outlaws. Spielbergs, Kubriks". its in the millennial's honor of existence. "Its our Turn to make a move. its our turn to make amends. its our time to break the rules. Lets begin" would mean the present is looking up for everyone. They get to live every moment, and be free. and yeah. thats basically it. Yeesh this is a long paragraph I wrote Edit: HOLY S* SO MANYLIKES XD

They recorded this on the Main Street of Ithaca, Cayuga st and they skate into the high school that I'm currently enrolled in. Which is weird because Ithaca is such a small town and people only know about it for Cornell. It's just so exciting to see my house and my school in this video.

One of my most favourite songs by X - Ambassadors as it represents what it means to be free and to enjoy life for what it is and not for what it is not. This message is captured perfectly by the teen or adolescence riding his skateboard which is something I often imagine myself doing. I love the title Renegades as well as while it has a negative conation associated with it as it means "a person who deserts a party or cause for another." here it's meaning is more positive where it's less about deserting a particular party or cause and more about not living by the standards of others or in other words living life on your own terms. All in all "Renegades" is a marvelous banger which was made by an incredible band and thankfully they would continue to receive more support and attention for their music.

from what I know of life so far, is that you give so much up and sacrifice for that mythical life, your time, energy, passion, hopes, values, ideals, and it did not fill me up but drained me. besides taking care of your health, there's no better advice that I could give to anybody than learn that those quiet moments are some of the best of life you'll ever experience. that place where your not ambitious or insecure or envious or wanting to achieve or scared of what others say or needing to prove yourself, or anything at all because you're already there. that feeling of smooth flow is the end unto itself. and if you get that from skating, man, I wouldn't give that up, even if I was 80 years old. I get that from biking, and I live for when the weather's nice enough to go. TLDR: whatever floats your boat.

I thought maybe I should write something. To all those missing the easier times. When the world wasn't in a constant panic. I understand you. I miss everything. I wanted to make memories with my friends out in the world, discovering; exploring. Definitely not through a computer screen trying to hold back tears with laughs and dark jokes. The only advice I have, is to make the most of it. Do things you want to do, just tweak them. I start to hyperventilate whenever I think of everything I'm missing out on. I want to live a full life, and I will. I'll stop being sad and pessimistic, and do what I can. I'll do it, so I won't have any regrets. I hope you do too because regrets are the worst. Do what you can now before you waste your time worrying about what you can't. I don't know you, but I know we're all going through this one, big, common problem together. So get out there, you downer :)

And I'm once again more frightened then I've ever been before. All the people I've watched grownup since we were kids, there all going away now. We're all going our seperate ways. One era is ending, and another begining. For those who have been through this, how did you do it? How did you stay sain? We're you scared? I just...I need to know how to clear my head, and I'm once again listening to this song in hopes of doing that.

this is a reminder to not waste your teenage years by living strictly by the rules and only thinking about school. Live it to the fullest, take risks, fall in love, confess, dye your hair, go to that place you wanna go to, post that selfie, wear that outfit, blast your favorite music, learn to skate, set off fireworks, kiss her/him, go out at night or till night, make memories and most of all, never regret. To all the teenagers out there including me, live life like renegades. When this pandemic is over, I'll be free!

lyrics Run away-ay with me Lost souls in revelry Running wild and running free Two kids, you and me And I say Hey, hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Hey-hey-hey Hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Renegades Renegades Long live the pioneers Rebels and mutineers Go forth and have no fear Come close and lend an ear And I say Hey, hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Hey-hey-hey Hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Renegades Renegades All hail the underdogs All hail the new kids All hail the outlaws Spielbergs and Kubricks It's our time to make a move It's our time to make amends It's our time to break the rules Let's begin And I say Hey, hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Hey-hey-hey Hey-hey-hey Livin' like we're renegades Renegades Renegades
